⛳The John Deere Classic is just a few weeks away, and we still need volunteers to help work the concession stands especially on Friday afternoon!

We know it's a holiday weekend, but the good news is you'll be finished well before the evening 🎆🎇fireworks begin. It's a fun way to support GiGi's Playhouse while being part of one of the Quad Cities' biggest events of the year.

We are super excited to share that we recently received funding from the North Scott Rotary Club!

This generous support will help fund our GiGi's Achievers program for adults with Down syndrome. Through Achievers, participants build communication, self-confidence, independent living skills, healthy habits, and meaningful social connections in a fun and supportive environment.

Thank you to the North Scott Rotary Club for investing in our mission and helping us continue to provide purposeful, life-changing programs at no cost to families. Your support is making a difference in the lives of local individuals with Down syndrome and their families! 💙💛

Last week, we had the privilege of awarding $55,000 in grants to several incredible organizations in our community. Last Tuesday was the first session of our summer Achievers program for our friends ages 18 and older. The participants had a great time learning about the different parts of a flower and even got the chance to dissect flowers for a hands-on learning experience!

This summer session is at maximum capacity with 12 participants enrolled. We are excited to see all they accomplish over the coming weeks as they continue building independence, confidence, and friendships through this purposeful program.

We can't wait to share more highlights from Achievers throughout the summer! 🌼🌸🌻

It's hard to believe it's already been a week since our biggest event of the year! It was a hot day, but it was filled with fun, smiles, and celebration. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

This year, we were excited to welcome a very special guest. The kids absolutely loved meeting Herky, and he was even kind enough to help hand out medals during the Kids Dash. Seeing the excitement on their faces made the day even more memorable.

A huge thank you to the University of Iowa's beloved mascot, Herky, for joining us and helping make the day extra special! We loved having him as part of our annual 5K, 1 Mile Walk, and Kids Dash for Down syndrome. 💙💛🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🖤💛
