Low back pain is something that will affect nearly everyone at some point in their life. With 5-10% developing chronic low back pain. Women are also more likely to develop chronic low back pain than men.

Adjustments are a very safe and effective way to significantly reduce chronic low back pain and disability. When adjustments are paired with exercise, the results are even better!

What if you could build muscle and strength using only 20–30% of the weight you normally lift?

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training is a technique that uses specialized cuffs or bands placed around the upper arms or legs to partially restrict blood flow during exercise. This allows you to perform low-load exercises while achieving benefits similar to heavy strength training.

How it works:
Specialized bands limits blood leaving the muscle while still allowing blood to enter. This creates a temporary low-oxygen environment in the muscle, which stimulates muscle growth and strength adaptations—even with lighter weights.

Benefits of BFR Training

Builds muscle with lighter weights
Increases strength while reducing joint stress
Helps maintain muscle during injury recovery
Improves VO2 max
Supports rehabilitation after surgery or injury
A great starting point for a sedentary person beginning strength training because lower loads = less soreness

Because the loads are lighter, BFR can be a powerful tool with TONS of different applications to patients of all demographics.

⚠️ Important: BFR is not for everyone and should be performed with proper guidance and equipment to ensure it’s done safely and effectively.

Photo below demonstrates the placement of the bands and the visible results it has on venous return. A sore upper body interferes with my ability to adjust and treat my patients so I use this a lot on myself to train my upper body with minimal soreness.
