Welcome to the Annabessacook family, Sawyer! 💙👶

Our newest (and tiniest) team member has officially arrived! Dr. Neat stopped by during her maternity leave to introduce us to her beautiful bundle of joy, Sawyer, and we couldn’t be happier for their growing family.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Neat and welcoming Sawyer to the Annabessacook Veterinary Clinic family. We can’t wait to watch this little guy grow up surrounded by friends family, veterinarians, and plenty of four-legged patients!

🇺🇸 A big shoutout to all of the veterinary teams working this 4th of July!

Our large animal emergency service is on call today, ready to care for horses and other large animal emergencies whenever they arise. We also want to recognize the dedicated teams at our local small animal emergency clinics, who are undoubtedly busy caring for dogs and cats throughout the holiday.

Thank you to every veterinarian, technician, assistant, and support staff member spending the holiday helping animals when they need it most. ❤️🐴🐶🐱

🇺🇸 The 4th of July is just around the corner! 🎆

As you’re getting ready to celebrate, don’t forget to make a plan for your pets and farm animals! Fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be scary and stressful for our furry, feathered, and hoofed family members.

Here are a few things you can do before the festivities begin:

🐾 Make sure your pet’s ID tags are current and that their microchip information is up to date.
🐾 Create a safe, quiet space inside your home or barn where they can relax during the fireworks.
🐾 Stock up on any medications or calming supplements your animals may need—don’t wait until the last minute!
🐾 Keep pets and livestock secured and supervised, even if they usually spend time outside. Start bringing them in or moving them to a safe enclosure before fireworks begin.
🐾 Check fences, gates, stalls, and doors to help prevent escape if your animals become frightened.
🐾 Remember to keep barbecue foods, alcoholic drinks, fireworks, glow sticks, and sparklers safely out of reach.

Many pets and farm animals go missing around the Fourth of July because they’re startled by loud noises. A little preparation now can make all the difference!

One of the best parts of working in a multi-doctor practice is the collaboration. Each veterinarian brings a unique background, skill set, and perspective, allowing us to learn from one another and approach cases from different angles. The result is better patient care, more efficient problem-solving, and a workplace that’s both productive and fun. Great medicine happens when great teams work together. 🐴✨
