When an infant knows that they can depend on their caregiver for emotional and physical needs, they gain a secure attachment. In childhood, a securely attached child will feel safe in their home, ask for help and will know their emotional needs will get met. Due to this secure base with their primary caregiver, in adulthood these behaviors will show up:

đź’« Ask for help
💖Able to see both “good” and "bad” aspects of people
đź’›able to be vulnerable

Are you able to do all three?

If not, join us on May 4th 1pm PDT for a class about how developmental trauma shapes the way we seek love and connection. We'll dive into real talk about emotions, healing, and understanding yourself better. Perfect for anyone curious about relationships and personal growth. Don't miss out on this chance to explore love from a fresh perspective!

From Washington State DSHS:

Every May, Older Americans Month celebrates the contributions of older adults. The 2026 theme, "Champion Your Health,” highlights prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as cornerstones of healthy aging. It encourages older adults to take an active role in their health — advocating for themselves, accessing preventive care, and making informed decisions that support independence.

Physical activity is essential to good health. No matter how you choose to move, daily activity supports strength, balance, and independence. This Older Americans Month and beyond, champion your health by staying active.

Washington state has a commitment to longevity through the promotion of healthy aging and active living for older adults. It’s estimated by 2030 that 1 in 5 Washingtonians will be over 65. Check out the Governor's proclamation promoting May as Older Americans Month all across Washington state.

Take charge of your health at every age by:

Staying up to date on preventive care and screenings.
Build and maintain social connections that support emotional well-being.
Choose nutritious, minimally processed foods.
Incorporate regular physical activity to maintain strength and mobility.
Practice daily habits that support mental health and resilience.

💫Now offering a weekly online psychotherapy group for adults living in Washington on Thursdays at 4pm. This is a space to slow down, be heard, and connect with others who truly get it. Group work can be powerful in ways individual therapy sometimes can’t reach—there’s healing in being witnessed and in witnessing others 💛✨💓

This group is facilitated by Crystal Hamilton, LMHC, and is designed to support growth, insight, and meaningful connection in a safe, inviting environment.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, isolated, or just ready for something deeper, this could be a place to begin 💚💜

Reach out to learn more or reserve your spot with Crystal. Call (360) 348-8836 or [email protected]
