For those of you that don’t know me, I wanted to introduce myself, and share a little about me and my work over the years. My name is Liz, I have been in the Mental Health field for over 22 years. I graduated from Sacred Heart University and went to Fordham University where I received my Master’s in Social Work. I’ve met some amazing Clinicians along the way, who have guided me along this amazing journey, to help me, help others.
My journey didn’t just start there, I’ve always wanted to help people, this started with growing up with an amazing grandmother and individuals around me that also had there own mental health issues; I was inspired to help people in need as they needed guidance and resources.
Over these 22 years, I have been able to intern at homeless shelters, the Department and Children and Families, and inner city schools. My work has always been in schools, either working in a specialized school for children with mental health issues and/or specific diagnosis or public school. This work has been truly fulfilling to me, and I’ve learned a great deal in these settings, and from the individuals I’ve collaborated with.
I have three amazing children, and an amazing husband, who also works in the mental health field. Full time, I work as a School Social Worker, at a middle school in Fairfield County, and have my own small private practice where I am able to take on a small caseload of clients either virtually and/or in person.
Feel free to reach out to me for a consultation if you are seeking support as I would love to know if we are a match; if not, I am happy to find someone for you that might be. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
