After release, you can see improved organization, a stronger non-nutritive suck pattern, and better ability to maintain a seal.

Pre-release therapy is an important part of the process because it helps address compensation patterns, tension, and poor coordination that may otherwise persist after the procedure.

Today we had a little fun with pacifiers! 🤣

Look at those sucking mechanics! 👀

With a transparent pacifier like the Ninni Co., you can actually see how baby is using the tongue, lips, and jaw during sucking. We are looking for things like lip seal, tongue cupping/grooving, rhythm, coordination, and endurance.

Is your baby clicking, leaking milk, 🥛 losing the pacifier, chomping instead of sucking, or struggling at breast or bottle 🍼?

These can all be signs that baby may need help with sucking mechanics.

Feeding therapy can help identify what is going on and give your baby the support they need to feed more efficiently and comfortably. 💛.

Today we had an extra special graduation! 🩷

This mama is a former OT colleague of Anna’s, and it meant so much that she chose and trusted us to care for her and her baby. It is such an honor when other therapists and healthcare providers bring their own children to us, knowing firsthand the level of care, detail, and heart that goes into this work.

Mom said, “We loved our experience at Prosper! Our little girl was struggling learning to take a bottle for when I go back to work and with help from Anna we saw results right away. Now the family is much more confident in her feedings! Thank you Anna!”

We are so proud of this sweet little one and grateful to have been part of their journey. Happy graduation day! 🎓✨

We are honored to partner with Dr. Hill and the OTD students at the University of Louisiana Monroe as we begin research focused on frenectomy care and how we can better support babies and families before and after release.

We are passionate about combining clinical experience, education, and research to continue improving outcomes for the families we serve.

We are so excited to celebrate this amazing mama for donating 1,044 ounces of breast milk to the Mother’s Milk Bank of Louisiana! What an incredible gift for fragile babies across our state. 💛

Prosper Therapy and Feeding Solutions is honored to be a Milk Depot Site, helping approved donors safely send their milk to babies who need it most.

Milk bank donation matters because donors are screened, and milk is safely processed and tested. While milk sharing may be well-intentioned, it does not offer the same safety protections for vulnerable infants.

I cannot say enough good things about Prosper Therapy. From breastfeeding and pumping to tongue ties, choosing the right bottles, and everything in between…they helped us so much!

Our sweet Bella had a severe tongue tie that caused a lot of tension in her little body, which made feeding a struggle for both of us. But with Anna’s expertise, everything changed…feeding became so much easier, Bella was more comfortable, and she is now truly thriving. 💕
