Stand Up to Stigmaβ€”Let’s Talk About Mental Health

Mental health is an important part of our overall well-being. No one should feel ashamed or afraid to ask for support. By speaking openly, listening without judgment, and showing compassion, we can help end the stigma surrounding mental health.

It is okay to have difficult days. It is okay to ask for help. You are not alone.

Midweek Mental Health Check-In: How Are You Really Feeling?

It is timely, engaging, and encourages followers to pause and assess their emotional well-being.

Post caption:

It is the middle of the weekβ€”take a moment to check in with yourself.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, unmotivated, or emotionally drained? Your feelings matter, and you do not have to manage everything alone.

Today, try one small step toward better mental wellness: take a break, talk to someone you trust, spend time outside, write down your thoughts, or ask for support.

At People United Behavioral Health, we are committed to helping individuals and families build healthier, more balanced lives.

Your mental health deserves attentionβ€”not just during a crisis, but every day.

Louisiana Department of Health Update

On July 15, 2026, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service approved a temporary waiver allowing all Louisiana SNAP participants to purchase hot or prepared foods with their SNAP benefits through August 13, 2026, following Tropical Storm Arthur.

Eligible items may include rotisserie chicken, hot prepared soups and sandwiches, and hot meals or hot food bars from SNAP-authorized retailers.

Please note: Retailers may need 24–36 hours to update their checkout systems, and not every store may be ready at the same time. SNAP participants are encouraged to check with their local retailer before shopping.

πŸ§ πŸ’™ Migraine & Headache Awareness Month πŸ’™πŸ§

Migraines and chronic headaches are often viewed as physical health conditions, but their impact can extend far beyond the pain itself.

Frequent migraines may contribute to:
πŸ˜” Anxiety and depression
😴 Sleep disturbances and fatigue
🧩 Difficulty concentrating and focusing
😟 Increased stress and irritability
🚫 Withdrawal from work, school, family, or social activities

When chronic pain begins to affect your emotions, relationships, or daily functioning, it may be time to seek additional support. Mental and behavioral health are closely connected to physical well-being, and addressing both can lead to better overall outcomes.

At People United Behavioral Health, we understand the challenges that ongoing health conditions can place on mental wellness. Our team is committed to providing compassionate, individualized behavioral health services to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and improve their quality of life.

πŸ’™ Is your teen showing signs they may need additional support?

As teens grow and navigate life's challenges, it's normal to experience ups and downs. However, some changes may indicate that additional support could be beneficial.

Watch for signs such as:
β–ͺ️ Withdrawal from family and friends
β–ͺ️ Declining grades or loss of interest in school
β–ͺ️ Changes in sleep patterns
β–ͺ️ Increased irritability or mood changes
β–ͺ️ Loss of interest in activities they once enjoyed

Early intervention can make a meaningful difference in a teen's emotional and behavioral well-being.

At People United Behavioral Health, we are committed to supporting adolescents, teens, and families through life's challenges with compassionate, professional care.

❀️ You do not have to navigate it alone.
