Meet Christie Bention — Neurofeedback Technician & Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate.

Christie finds great joy in witnessing the subtle yet powerful transformation that can happen with each “beep” of neurofeedback. She’s continually inspired by the lasting, restorative changes clients experience through this work, and she approaches every session with warmth, care, and genuine enthusiasm.

Outside of Renewed Mentality, Christie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their adult children, finding renewal in both nature and meaningful connection.

Not everyone experiences summer as a season of rest.
Even positive activities can be exhausting when there’s no time to recharge. A packed calendar doesn’t always equal a fulfilling season.
If summer feels overwhelming, consider:
✓ Maintaining a few consistent routines
✓ Scheduling downtime intentionally
✓ Setting boundaries around commitments
✓ Letting go of unrealistic expectations

He rested. He got quiet. He stepped away from the crowds. He prayed. He cried. He spent time with people He felt safe with.

There’s something really comforting about knowing even Jesus didn’t live in constant stress and pressure. 🤍

Our nervous systems need rest, connection, and peace too. The one who created us showed us how to regulate.

When someone is grieving, struggling mentally, or simply trying to survive a hard season, the truth is… most people don’t know what to say.

Instead of saying “Let me know how I can help,” try offering something specific:
💛 “I’m bringing dinner by tonight.”
💛 “Can I pick up the kids from school?”
💛 “I’ll come sit with you.”
💛 “You don’t have to respond, I just wanted you to know I’m thinking of you.”

Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is stop waiting to be told what’s needed and simply show up with care, consistency, and compassion.
