The Carpenter Shed

The Carpenter Shed Our purpose is helping young men find their's. THE WAY AHEAD. Our ultimate goal is to transform them into responsible and purpose-driven men.

The Carpenter Shed is a residential program for young men aged 16 to 20 who require guidance, support, and mentorship to find their place in the world. Our program is community-based and highly structured, and we aim to help these young men discover their purpose, meaning, and direction in life.

Hearing this from another provider carries weight.
When professionals in the field recognize the care, structure, and belief we have in every young man - it reinforces why this work matters.

Treatment isn’t just about addressing behaviors; it’s about building independence, purpose, and a foundation that lasts.

Grateful to be part of something that’s making a real impact.

Summer brings more freedom, less structure, and a lot more unaccounted time. For some young men, that’s when things start to slip.

If you’ve noticed changes this year in behavior, motivation, or who they’re spending time with, now is the time to pay attention, not later. Waiting until summer is in full swing can make it harder to step in.

At The Carpenter Shed, we work with families who wish they had acted sooner. A change in environment, structure, and support can make all the difference.

Take a moment to consider what your son may need heading into this summer.

Meet Winston, our Director of Second Chances 🐾
From rescued to restoring, his story didn’t end at the shelter, it started there.

Winston found a second chance… and now, he helps others find theirs.

He’s not just part of the program, he’s part of the transformation. Showing up each day with quiet patience, steady presence, and an instinct for exactly what’s needed, he creates space for trust to grow and walls to come down. Once rescued, now restoring hope, one boy at a time.

Because around here, second chances don’t come once. They show up every day, in small moments that add up to something bigger.

Winston is here to provide support and comfort to young men also looking for a second chance – and he's proof that those second chances are everything.

Real change sticks when it’s built on hard work, honesty, and people who genuinely care.

We’re grateful to be part of stories like this - where young men learn to manage emotions, build discipline, and take back control of their lives.

“Legal doesn’t mean harmless” - and that’s especially true for gambling addiction.

They aren’t just bets or games. They can be normalized, easily accessible, and especially risky for young people in this age range.

Swipe to see why this matters, and why specialized care is critical.

Big news at The Carpenter Shed. 👏
Allen & Christine have officially completed advanced training in youth gambling and process addiction treatment, strengthening our ability to serve young men ages 16 to 20 with specialized, evidence-based care.

Allen and Christine’s additional training means more precise treatment planning and a higher standard of care for the young men we serve.
We are proud of their dedication to clinical excellence and even more confident in our mission to help young men find purpose, meaning, and direction!

Stories like this remind us why our work matters. Recovery doesn’t just impact the young men who spend time at The Carpenter Shed - it can bring healing, clarity, and growth to the whole family.

Hearing how the experience impacted not just their sons, but their whole family means a lot to us.

We’re grateful to walk alongside families through the process.

Healing doesn’t stop at the therapy room.

Time spent outdoors surrounded by nature, movement, and open space helps reduce stress, restore focus, and create moments of connection and reflection.

Recovery from gambling and gaming addiction doesn’t mean becoming a completely different person overnight. For many young men, it’s about rebuilding steady routines, learning healthier ways to cope with stress, and reconnecting with people and purpose.

Our latest blog explores what meaningful, lasting recovery can truly look like and why support matters along the way.
