Join us in celebrating Wanda Thorne on her retirement after 41 years of dedicated service at our Phenix City, AL location, Crowne Health Care’s Parkwood Health Care Facility! 👑

Wanda has faithfully served as a CNA, most recently as a Restorative CNA, and her commitment to caring for others has made a lasting impact on so many residents, families, and coworkers through the years. Her compassion, hard work, and dedication will always be remembered and appreciated.

🏛️ MEET THE FINAL MEMBERS OF THE INAUGURAL ANHA LEGENDS OF LONG TERM CARE HALL OF FAME CLASS

Today, we’re honored to introduce the final four members of ANHA’s inaugural Legends of Long Term Care Hall of Fame:

✨ Pam Penland
✨ Bill Hatley*
✨ Joseph William “Billy” Jones, Jr.*
✨ Patti Wallace*
*Posthumous inductees

Each of these leaders has left a lasting mark on long term care in Alabama through their leadership, service and dedication to the profession. Their contributions helped strengthen the organizations and communities they served and are part of the legacy of long term care in our state.

With these four honorees, we have now introduced all 12 members of ANHA’s inaugural Hall of Fame class.

The entire class will be formally inducted during ANHA’s 75th Anniversary Celebration & Awards Ceremony on September 24, as we recognize the individuals whose contributions have helped shape ANHA and long term care in Alabama.

💗🎶 Dolly Day at Crowne Health Care’s Englewood Health Care Center! 🎶💗

We had so much fun celebrating the one and only Dolly Parton with our very own Dolly Day! Our Staff and Residents got into the spirit with big hair, plenty of pink, Dolly shirts, and lots of smiles. 🌸✨

Of course, no celebration is complete without cake, ice cream, and some of our favorite Dolly classics playing in the background! 🎂🍦🎵

It was a day full of fun, laughter, and a little extra sparkle, just the way Dolly would want it! 💕🦋

💦🚗 Car Wash Fun at Crowne Health Care of Eufaula ! 🚗💦

Our Maintenance crew did an awesome job creating a one-of-a-kind “car wash” for our Residents to roll through, and it was a HIT! 😂☀️ Between the water, bubbles, dancing, popcorn, and popsicles, this was the perfect way to cool off and have some fun on a hot day!

A special thank you to Eric for jumping in to help our Residents through the wash, and to our Activities, Social Services, Supply, and Maintenance teams for working together to make such a fun day possible. 💚

There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and maybe even a few Residents who got a little more “washed” than they expected! 🤣🫧

🎓 Congratulations, Madelyn Joyner! 🎉

Join us in celebrating Madelyn Joyner on an incredible achievement!

Madelyn, the daughter of Josh and Kelly Joyner of Monroeville, Alabama, is graduating from Auburn University this Saturday with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies.

Over the past two summers, Madelyn has gained valuable hands-on experience by shadowing our outstanding therapy team at Englewood Health Care Center. Her compassion, dedication, and eagerness to learn have made a lasting impression on our staff.

This fall, Madelyn will continue pursuing her passion for helping others as she begins the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at Faulkner University. She is committed to empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life through occupational therapy.

We are honored to have been a small part of Madelyn’s journey and are excited to see all she accomplishes in the future. Congratulations, Madelyn! Your Englewood Health Care Center family is cheering you on every step of the way.
