Bo Bridgewater, 59, of Monrovia, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, while in the loving care of The Gathering Together in Plainfield. He was born in Martinsville, Indiana, on February 12, 1967, to James J. “Jim” Bridgewater and Pamela Ann (Moore) Bridgewater.

A lifelong resident of Morgan County, Bo graduated from Monrovia High School with the class of 1985. A dedicated and highly skilled worker, Bo spent his career as an Elevator Mechanic, and retired from Thyssenkrupp in 2020. He was a proud, active member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) Local 34.

It was during a work trip that Bo met the love of his life, Angie Camden, while she was working at the restaurant and motel he was staying in. The two shared an instant attraction. On their first date, he took her to Red Lobster in his luxurious '76 Cutlass. On the way home, the horn malfunctioned and began honking continuously on the drive home. Not knowing how to fix it on the fly, they simply smiled and waved at everyone they passed along the way. They were married on April 25, 1992, and they built their forever home in 1996 on his grandparents' property, where he grew up.

An incredibly hardworking, stubborn, and selfless family man, Bo was an excellent provider who was deeply proud of his family and his accomplishments. He had a great sense of humor, even if his jokes sometimes suffered from "poor timing," and he held quite the competitive spirit. He...

Sandra Reeder, 77, of Monrovia, Indiana, passed away on October 11, 2026 at her home. She was born in Livingston, Tennessee on December 22, 1948 to the late Sanford and Reba (Arney) Stover.

Although Sandy grew up on the southside of Indianapolis, some of her favorite memories were traveling to Dale Hollow Lake to spend time with cousins. Following her graduation from Manual High School, she was a telephone operator at Indiana Bell. She married Michael Reeder on August 5, 1968. They had one son, Steven. In the fall of 1977, they moved to Monrovia. Sandy soon became involved in Monrovia Youth League Baseball and Monrovia Football Parents helping with fundraising, concessions, and cooking at camps. Sandy will be dearly missed, but remembered by her willingness to help others, her wonderful meals and desserts, and her love of family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Mike, son Steve, daughter-in-law Whitney, and brother Mark Stover. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Phil Stover.

Funeral and cremation arrangements are entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 p.m., and Richard Dickison will officiate. Janet Sue Kroger (Woolsey), age 88, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026, at University Heights in Indianapolis. She was born on March 9, 1938, in Indianapolis, to the late Corbin William "Bill" and Dorothy (Dillard) Woolsey. She grew up on the Southside of Indianapolis and graduated from Emmerich Manual High School with the class of 1956.

A hard worker from a young age, Janet began her career at Indiana Bell at just 16 years old. Over her remarkable 30-year career, she became a true pioneer for women’s rights in the workplace, proudly breaking barriers as one of the first women to step into professional roles previously held only by men. Following her retirement from Indiana Bell in 1987, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to own and operate the Stones Crossing Restaurant in Clayton for six years.

Deeply rooted in her community, Janet was an active member of the Clayton Christian Church, Tri Kappa, and the Red Hat Society. She poured her heart into supporting local youth and schools, serving as the President of the Cascade Booster Club for five years, President of Cascade Little League Football, and as a board member for the Clayton Youth Baseball League.

Naomi Louise (Chadd) Miller, 93, of Monrovia, passed peacefully at home on September 20, 2026. Born on November 16, 1932, in Greencastle, Indiana, to the late Monte Chadd and Dorothy (VanVactor) Chadd. Naomi graduated from Greencastle High School in 1950 and went on to spend most of her life in the heart of Monrovia, Indiana.

Born during the Great Depression, Naomi developed a resilience and resourcefulness that defined her life. In her final days, she remained engaged, sharing stories of her childhood, recalling historical events, reflecting on the advancements in technology she experienced firsthand, and keeping up with current events.

Naomi began her working life at the Royale Café in Greencastle, often recounting stories of the DePauw University crowds. Later, while raising her family, she ran a paper route in Monrovia. Stories of her paper route—and the characters she encountered through rain, wind, and snow—were passed down over the years. Most notable, and often recalled, was her role as owner and operator of The Snack Shop, a local ice cream parlor and sandwich shop frequented by friends, family, and the community until she closed the shop in the early 1980s.

Harold Eugene Bolin, 81, of Monrovia, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Franciscan Health Mooresville. He was born on September 15, 1944, in Vanduser, Missouri, to the late William "Edward" Bolin and Ruby (Hatcher) Bolin.

Harold graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1961, where he played baseball. Immediately following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1962 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. A proud Marine veteran, he cherished his military service and regularly attended Marine Corps reunions.

Upon returning home on leave, Harold reconnected with a high school acquaintance, Darlene Lough, on a blind date. Their whirlwind romance blossomed instantly; he took her to church the very next day, proposed just eight days later, and they were married on October 9, 1966. Together, they shared a beautiful, dedicated marriage of 60 years.

Upon discharge from serving his country, Harold went to work for Chrysler, spending 42 dedicated years as a highly skilled tradesman. Deeply committed to public service, he also served his community as a Morgan County Reserve Officer.

Harold’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was a member of Eternal Life Tabernacle in Indianapolis, where he served as a deacon. David Charles "Dave" McCool, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Franciscan Health Mooresville. He was born on January 11, 1948, in Indianapolis, to the late Fred Garrett McCool Jr. and Ruby Alberta (Rogers) McCool. He grew up in Indianapolis and went to school at Arsenal Technical High School.

A hard worker with a strong trade background, Dave spent the earlier years of his career working as a painter. He later became a welder, bringing his skills to Systec Corporation (formerly Pentec), where he dedicated several years of service before his retirement.

Outside of work, Dave lived life at his own pace. He was a very quiet, easy-going, and laid-back man who mostly kept to himself, but he possessed a wonderfully dry sense of humor. He was also known for his deeply charitable heart.

Dave had a lifelong passion for open roads and motorcycles. He was a proud Harley-Davidson enthusiast, a member of ABATE, and a life member of the Midwest Motorcycle Club. Some of his favorite times were spent traveling on his motorcycle to his favorite destinations in the mountains of Tennessee alongside his life partner, Jill. He will be forever missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Along with his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his son, Homer Lee McCool; and siblings, Walter “Bud” Debaun, Jack McCool, Fred McCool III, and Judy McMann.

Richard R. Kitchens, age 80, of Monrovia and Wilbur area, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, with his loving wife at his bedside. Arriving into the world on December 12, 1945, in Hamilton County, he was the third of nine children born to the late Robert and Maxine (Roach) Kitchens.

Raised on a farm, Richard learned the value of hard work, a deep appreciation for the outdoors, and a devotion to family early in life. He was a graduate of Carmel High School. For over 26 years, Richard dedicated his career to National W**e & Spirits, first as a driver and then in the warehouse before enjoying a well-earned retirement.

On May 17, 1986, he married the love of his life, Peggy (Luker) Kitchens. Together, they shared over 40 wonderful years of marriage, and a friendship built on love, mutual respect, and quiet devotion. To say Richard cherished Peggy would be an understatement; his daily routine centered around taking care of her and spoiling her every chance he got.

Richard was a man of meticulous detail, quiet strength, and genuine kindness. Thoughtful and caring, he possessed an incredible "green thumb." Every autumn—his favorite time of year, he would carefully dig up his cherished elephant ear plants, storing them to re-plant each spring, growing them bigger and grander with every passing season. Rachel Ann Mathias (Olszewski), age 66, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, at IU Health West Hospital. Born on March 25, 1960, in Cheektowaga, New York, she was the beloved daughter of James "Jim" Olszewski (Paula) of Bethel, Connecticut, and Patricia "Patti" Nowak of Avon, Indiana.

Rachel graduated from Cheektowaga Central High School before going on to earn an associate’s degree in business administration from Erie Community College. A lifelong athlete, she dedicated herself to fitness and achieved incredible heights, becoming one of the world’s top powerlifters during the late 1980s and early 1990s. She also gained national acclaim as a successful competitive bodybuilder throughout the 1990s. Rachel successfully shared her passion with others for 25 years as a self-employed personal trainer, alongside her career as a business professional within the aviation industry. Outside of her career, she was a true aficionado of 1970s music.

Rachel was a deeply compassionate person and a dedicated animal enthusiast who loved providing a home to multiple rescue dogs, most recently her cherished Italian Greyhound, Aoife "Beauty".

James R. Lopossa, 79, of Mooresville, passed away in his sleep, while at his home, on September 1, 2026. Jim was born in Beech Grove on April 5, 1947, to Loice Nydia (Deck) Lopossa and Robert Enos Lopossa, both of Eminence. He grew up on the west side of Indianapolis and attended Ben Davis High School, graduating in 1965, while developing his closest, lifelong friendships in nearby Speedway.

Drafted into the U.S. Army, Jim served 15 months in Vietnam with the 1st Cavalry Division as a helicopter door gunner, mechanic, and crew chief on the iconic Bell UH-1 "Huey” gunship. He arrived in-country on the day of the Tet Offensive, at once thrust into the counter-offensive operations. His service in Vietnam was an important and defining chapter of his life.

In the years following his deployment to Vietnam, he continued his commitment to public service and protection, proudly joining the Indianapolis Police Department in 1974. For the next 33 years, he faithfully served the citizens of Indianapolis, retiring in 2007. He excelled as a K-9 officer, dedicating himself to the care, training, and partnership of three K-9 ‘officers’ throughout his distinguished career.
