Let’s talk about men in aesthetics.

According to Allergan Aesthetics and their Future of Aesthetics trend data, men seeking cosmetic treatments primarily want to look refreshed and energized, not drastically younger or done.

The top areas of focus are crow’s feet, forehead lines, tear troughs, and submental fullness, and treatments like Botox and dermal fillers are customized to maintain strong, masculine features while softening stressed or harsh expressions.

Modern men see self-care and aesthetic maintenance as an investment in confidence, not a break from tradition.

Medical alert: many people are still using talcum powder, and I strongly recommend against it.

When talc is mined, asbestos can be mixed in with it because it occurs naturally in the same environment. Exposure to asbestos can lead to cancer. This isn’t true of all talcum powder all the time, but it is a real concern. It has been linked to mesothelioma, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, and uterine cancer.

I am honored to be speaking as faculty at the 18th 5CC World Congress LIVE, Aesthetics, Lasers, and Medicines for the Skin, September 18-19 in Madrid, Spain.

This event brings together dermatologists and aesthetic physicians from five continents to share the latest advances in skin health, lasers, and medical aesthetics. I always come home from these conferences with new techniques and research to bring straight to my Image Dermatology patients.

Grateful for the opportunity to represent Image Dermatology on a global stage.

Let’s talk about being on Zepbound, or “Vitamin Z” as some of my celebrity clients call it.

I’ve lost 22 pounds, my cholesterol is down about 15 points, and my joints feel better. I look better in my clothes, and I’m hoping to live longer because of it. I haven’t experienced significant side effects.

I recommend everyone check with their physician first, but this is another path to losing weight, and you do need to go into maintenance to keep it off. Diabetes, high blood pressure, and cancer all run in my family, and I’m doing what I can to run away from those things.

Vitamin Z might be the way out for a lot of people. So far, so good for me. I also treat the side effects that can come with weight loss, like facial aging and hair loss, so come into my office and let’s chat about what you’d like to do.
