GLABELLAR LINE TREATMENT: A 3-Part Approach
Ever wonder why some glabellar lines (the vertical lines between your brows) don’t fully respond to Botox alone? Here’s how we approach these cases 👇
Part 1: Assessment
Every treatment starts with a thorough evaluation. This patient came to us with static glabellar lines — meaning the lines were visible even at rest, not just when frowning. This told us Botox alone wouldn’t fully resolve them, since Botox only treats dynamic lines (the ones caused by muscle movement).
Part 2: Neuromodulator (Botox)
We started with Botox to relax the underlying muscles. This prevents the lines from deepening further and stops new creasing from forming — but it doesn’t erase lines that are already etched into the skin.
Part 3: Dermal Filler
Once the Botox settled (about 2 weeks), we carefully added filler to physically fill in and smooth the remaining static lines — restoring a smoother skin surface.
Why combine them?
Botox and filler treat two different problems: Botox addresses the cause (muscle movement), while filler addresses the result (etched-in lines). Using both together often produces more complete, natural-looking results than either treatment alone.
The outcome: smoother skin, a more refreshed appearance, and a happier, more confident patient. 💕
