Qualified Health Center grantee through the Bureau of Public Health, HMC is able to offer quality health care regardless of your ability to pay. We accept many insurance plans and there is a sliding fee scale program available to all patients based on National Poverty guidelines. Congratulations to our May Buttercup Award recipient, Dr. Claire Wallace!

Claire was nominated for going above and beyond during a patient visit by carefully reviewing medications, helping arrange pill packaging to make them easier to manage, and even providing a ride home when the patient experienced automotive issues. Today we’re celebrating National Medical Coders Day and recognizing our amazing Revenue Cycle Manager, Kelly, for all that she does at Highland Medical Center!

Kelly works tirelessly behind the scenes managing claims, fighting denials, and helping keep HMC running smoothly so we can continue providing quality care close to home. Her job is not always easy, but she handles every challenge with resilience, determination, and kindness.

Highland Medical Center is looking for compassionate community members to serve as Volunteer Transportation Drivers.

Many of our patients rely on transportation support to get to essential medical appointments — and in a rural community like ours, that support can truly make the difference between receiving care and going without it.

By volunteering as a driver, you help:
✔ Ensure patients make it to critical appointments
✔ Support access to sustainable, affordable healthcare
✔ Strengthen the health and wellbeing of our Highland community

We are seeking individuals who:
• Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Hold a current BLS certification
• Are willing to complete a background check and driving physical
• Have a heart for serving others

Today, we are celebrating National Receptionists Day and recognizing some of the incredible faces that help make Highland Medical Center so welcoming each and every day!

A huge thank you to our Patient Navigators, Becky Isles and Pam Smith, our Medical Records Specialist, Emily Smith, and our Physical Therapy Aide, Jennifer Hise, for being some of the very first impressions our patients receive when they walk through our doors.

Whether they are greeting patients with a smile, helping someone navigate their visit, answering questions, or jumping in wherever needed, these ladies represent the kindness, compassion, and friendliness that make HMC feel like home. Their patience, positivity, and dedication help create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who visits us.
