Job description:
We are in immediate need of a full-time pharmacy technician at the Medicine Shoppe. Hours would would mostly be:
Sometime from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday - Friday and
9 a.m. - 1 p.m. every other Saturday.
Hours may vary depending on the needs of our patients. We have high interest in a technician trained to administer vaccines.
We also have high interest in a technician to become a community health worker.
Job Responsibilities:
Type new prescriptions
Assist in counting and filling prescriptions
Answer phone
Listen to messages on answering machine
Handle insurance problems and rejections
Make doctor calls for problems or refill requests
Take new prescriptions and transfers over the phone
Manage inventory
Put drug order away
Ring customers out at register
Process prescription refills
Give vaccines if licensed
Anything to take care of patients
