🎨 75 Stories of Care | A Full-Circle Journey at Madison Manor

Betty “Betts” Phipps Roberts spent four years working as a registered nurse at Madison Manor Nursing Home beginning in 1994. More than two decades after leaving the facility, life brought her back—this time as a resident.

What makes her story even more special? The administrator she worked alongside all those years ago, Felita Smith, is still there!

At 94, Betts continues to pursue her lifelong love of creativity. An accomplished author of four books and a talented painter, she can often be found creating artwork in her room and sharing her passion with others.

🌸 75 Stories of Care | Culture is Blooming at Diversicare of Foley!

Through a staff recognition initiative called “Culture in Bloom,” team members were invited to write cards recognizing coworkers and sharing what makes them a special part of the Diversicare team.

Employees who received a card were given a button declaring, “I make this a great place to work!” The cards were then displayed on a bulletin board for everyone to enjoy.

Staff had fun finding their cards and reading the kind words their coworkers shared—and residents enjoyed being part of the excitement, too.

It was a simple but meaningful way to celebrate the people behind the care and remind everyone how much a few words of appreciation can mean.

🍽️ 75 Stories of Care | Dining in Style

For 24 years, residents at Westside Terrace Healthcare have enjoyed a special tradition that brings the experience of a night out to them.

The facility’s annual Fine Dining Night gives residents an opportunity to dress up, enjoy an elegant meal and spend a memorable evening with family and friends. Family members are invited to purchase tickets and join their loved ones for the occasion, making the evening even more meaningful.

Residents and guests are treated to a steak and shrimp dinner accompanied by live entertainment, while the dining room is transformed around a different theme each year. The decorations and atmosphere create the feeling of stepping out for an evening at a restaurant—all without leaving Westside Terrace.
