Our monthly crEATive snack was S'more Fun than ever! We brought the great outdoors INSIDE for National S'mores day with an INDOOR S'MORES CAMPOUT! To make the campout complete, we transformed the room into a cozy campsite with a crackling campfire scene on our projector while we sang some of our favorite campfire songs together. There may not have been any tents or sleeping bags, but there were definitely lots of smiles, laughter, and S'more memories made! #

We celebrated National Gorgeous Grandma day in the most fabulous way! Our ladies created adorable flower pots featuring fun cat eye glasses, colorful hair rollers and beautiful costume jewelry.Each one as unique and gorgeous as the ladies who made them! There was plenty of laughter creativity and wonderful conversation as everyone put their own special touch on these charming creations celebrating the beauty, wisdom and spirit of our gorgeous grandmas!

There's something special about a visit from a four-legged friend! Our residents always look forward to spending time with our therapy dogs. These visits bring smiles, laughter, and plenty of tail wags. Beyond fun, therapy dogs can help reduce stress, encourage conversation, spark happy memories, and provide comfort and companionship. It's amazing how a few gentle cuddles and wagging tails can brighten someone's day. Thank you to our wonderful therapy dogs for sharing your time and bringing so much joy to our Live Oak Family!

We've been celebrating the spirit of Independence day with patriotic crafts, festive decorations, Red, White, & Bingo, wonderful music performances, and plenty of sweet treats to share. Most importantly, we've enjoyed spending time together, making memories, and honoring the freedoms we are so grateful for. As we get ready for the fourth of July, we are thankful for out amazing residents, dedicated staff, and the many veterans who have served our country. There’s something special about gathering around a table with friends and sharing a tradition that brings back cherished memories.

Today, our residents at Live Oak Senior Care spent time shelling purple hull peas together—a simple activity that sparked stories of family gardens, summer harvests, front porch conversations, and meals shared with loved ones.

For many, shelling peas was once a regular part of life, and revisiting this tradition brought smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories. We love creating opportunities for our residents to connect with their past, share their experiences, and enjoy meaningful moments together.
