Why we Appreciate our team of Professional Caregivers
Caregivers often face a unique set of challenges that extend far beyond the immediate tasks of physical care, many of which remain invisible to those outside the caregiving relationship:
Emotional and Psychological Burden:
We understand our Caregivers can experience the feelings of guilt, anxiety, depression and stress which if not respected and acknowledged can lead to emotional exhaustion and burnout.
Social Isolation: Even though our heart and soul tells us we are meant for this career path, the demands of caregiving can often make it difficult to maintain friendships, social activities, and outside hobbies. This isolation can intensify feelings of loneliness and a lack of support, as others might not fully understand their daily struggles. We take time to listen and share experiences and feelings which can help with coping and validating feelings while building friendships
Financial Strain: The average pay of a professional caregiver in Texas is $13.25/hr We understand the challenges of living on a low hourly wage so we offer more to our caregivers with benefits that include flexibility, earned paid time off and good quality clients who understand the importance of a caregiver and the value they bring, higher rates than the average pay rate and flexibility to fulfill other sources of income when needed to meet daily living expenses.
Physical Health Decline: The physical demands of lifting, bathing, and assisting with mobility, combined with chronic stress, poor sleep, and neglected personal health, put caregivers at a higher risk for physical injuries and their own health problems. We assure every client’s needs meet the caregivers skills and that any client who requires a two person assist is not expected to be done with one person.
Training: We offer a client introduction and the ability to shadow other caregivers to assure every caregiver is prepared and skilled and trained if needed to provide professional care. We also offer ideas, games, activities and bible studies for our caregivers to share with their clients because sharing quality and engaging time with a client must be beneficial for not only the client but the caregiver too.
