Our C4P team had a great time at the Alabama Self-Insurer's Association (ASIA) Summer Conference, connecting with colleagues and strengthening partnerships across the workers' compensation community.

A highlight of the conference was Dr. Brad Katz serving as a panel speaker alongside Wendy Booth of Millennium Risk Managers, sharing valuable physician perspectives on the challenges of physician panels for workers' compensation case managers.

We were also excited to have Dr. Erin Katz, who recently joined the C4P team, attend the conference and connect with providers and referral partners throughout the Birmingham area.
Thank you, ASIA, for another great conference. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with professionals dedicated to advancing workers' compensation care.

August is National Wellness Month. A reminder that wellness doesn't always mean running marathons or hitting the gym.

Sometimes wellness looks like:

✔ Walking a little farther.
✔ Sleeping through the night.
✔ Playing with your grandchildren.
✔ Finally making time to address the pain you've been ignoring.

Every step forward matters.
What does wellness look like for you this month? Tell us below.

Back pain triggers can include sitting too long, poor sleep position, repetitive movement, stress, weak support, or activity changes.

Depending on the cause, care options may include injections, nerve blocks, RFA, spinal cord stimulation, or minimally invasive procedures.

Save this and start tracking your triggers.

Then schedule an appointment with us so we can help.

“I canceled plans” really means “my body canceled plans.”
Pain math is different.

One grocery trip can equal two rest breaks, one heating pad, and the cancellation of dinner plans.
If you know, you know.

Share if this is too real.

Ask your body these 3 questions.

Before the new week starts, check in:
What made the pain worse?
What helped?
What do I need to bring up at my next visit?

Your answers can help guide conversations about treatment options, including injections, nerve blocks, RFA, or other next steps.

Schedule your appointment.

Here’s what to ask when pain keeps coming back.

Ask:
What could be causing this pain?
What are my treatment options?
Could injections, RFA, nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulation, or medication management help?
What is the goal of my care plan?

Good questions can lead to better conversations.

If you are heading out and worried about a pain flare... this checklist may help you.

A simple pain flare kit may include:
✔ Water
✔ Medication as directed
✔ A heat or cold option
✔ Supportive shoes or brace
✔ A quick symptom tracker

If flares keep happening, it may be time to discuss whether additional treatment options could help.
