A setback on the baseball field isn't keeping Prattville High School's Aiden Urnis from chasing his dreams!⚾

After suffering a significant ankle fracture while playing baseball, Aiden was seen at our Prattville Extended Hours clinic and referred to Dr. Joshua Wolfe for further evaluation. With plans to continue his baseball career at the collegiate level, getting back on the field was especially important.

Aiden underwent surgery with Dr. Wolfe to repair his fractured ankle, followed by months of recovery and rehabilitation.

Now, just four months after his injury, Aiden is pain-free, his fracture has healed, and he's been cleared to gradually return to baseball!

And there's even more to celebrate! Aiden has signed to play baseball at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he'll have the opportunity to continue doing what he loves at the next level.

From an unexpected injury to getting back in the game, Aiden has put in the work to make his comeback possible. We're proud that Dr. Wolfe and our SOS team could be part of his journey.

Congratulations, Aiden! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

🏈What a comeback for Marbury athlete Carmen Johnson!

Carmen underwent ACL reconstruction with her orthopedic team, Dr. Perry Hooper and Josiah Yance, CRNP, after suffering from a right knee injury while playing flag football. Now after months of recovery and physical therapy, her hard work is paying off. Carmen has earned a college scholarship for flag football at Calhoun College in Tennessee and has begun her training.

Carmen says she’s especially thankful for the team that helped her through the process. “Josiah helped me every step of the way, and he believed I could do it when I didn’t believe in myself.”

From an ACL tear that took her off the field to earning the opportunity to continue her flag football career at the college level, Carmen has a lot to celebrate.

We’re proud of you, Carmen, and excited to see where all that hard work takes you next!🏈

🏃🏻‍♀️🏅Less than a year ago, Darlene Young couldn’t run without her ankle holding her back. Last month, she crossed the finish line of a half marathon.
After months of ankle instability and an injury that continued to worsen, an MRI revealed a complete tear of a ligament that helps stabilize Darlene’s left ankle. When physical therapy and time in a boot weren’t enough to get her back to running, she turned to her orthopedic team at SOS, Dr. Perry Hooper and Josiah Yance, CRNP.
Darlene underwent surgery in December 2025, and by April, she was pain-free, had regained full range of motion, and was already running up to two miles.
Fast forward to September, and those two miles became 13.1 as Darlene completed the Air Force Half Marathon!
Getting back to the things you love takes a great team, but it also takes a determined patient willing to put in the work. We’re so proud of Darlene and grateful Dr. Hooper and Josiah could be part of her journey back to running.

Four months ago, Ezekiel Academy senior David Jackson fractured his right ankle during football practice, putting his senior season on hold.

After surgery with Dr. Joshua Wolfe and months of recovery, David is back on the field doing what he loves. This past week, he was right back in the action and delivered a big hit during the game.

We’re so glad to see David healthy, doing well, and back playing football for his senior season. Getting young athletes back to the activities they love is what it’s all about, and we’re proud Dr. Wolfe could be part of David’s comeback.

Kyle Donaghey came to Dr. Brock Howell for a hip replacement, and he couldn’t be happier with the result. In his own words, Kyle shares what his experience was like and how much of a difference his new hip has made.
There’s nothing better than hearing our patients say they’re happy with their care and back to doing the things they enjoy. Thanks for sharing, Kyle, and trusting Dr. Howell with your care.
