Today marks 15 years of being a business owner.

In 2011, I opened Express Family Clinic with a little bit of hope, an even smaller amount of money, and a dream of creating a place where people in our community could access affordable, convenient healthcare without unnecessary barriers.

If you had told me then that 15 years later we’d have three locations, more than two dozen employees, and would still be serving the communities we love, I’m not sure I would have believed you.

The last 15 years haven’t always been easy. We’ve survived floods, a pandemic, economic ups and downs, staffing shortages, and all the challenges that come with running a small business. There were days when success felt certain and days when I wasn’t sure how we were going to make it through.

But through it all, one thing never changed: our mission.

We believe healthcare should be accessible. We believe people deserve compassionate care close to home. And we believe that uninsured and underinsured Texans deserve quality healthcare too.

What started as a small clinic has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined, but at its heart, Express Family Clinic is still the same. We’re still here to help the families, workers, children, and neighbors who trust us with their care every day.
