We are pleased to announce our new Director of Rehab, Nyah Scott!!
Nyah Scott, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a native of Monticello, Arkansas. Nyah is very excited to return home to serve her community through the field of speech-language pathology. She is a 2019 Honors Graduate of Monticello High School. She attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Nyah earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in 2025, graduating with High Honors. Throughout her academic career, Nyah received academic recognition for her dedication to excellence and was a member of the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and AR-NBASLH. Nyah was also awarded the Southwest Regional Academic Achievement Award as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
As a licensed and nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Nyah is experienced in providing skilled speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing services to adults across short-term rehabilitation and long-term care settings. Her clinical experience includes evaluating and treating adults with dysphagia, cognitive-communication deficits, and other communication disorders while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote safety, functional independence, and improved quality of life.
Nyah is also trained and certified in Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and has completed specialized training in tracheostomy and ventilator care. These advanced clinical skills allow her to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to individuals with complex swallowing, communication, and medical needs.
Nyah is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care that supports individuals in achieving their highest level of functional communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. She is honored and excited to bring her knowledge, clinical expertise, and dedication to her hometown of Monticello and looks forward to serving the community that helped shape her both personally and professionally.
