At Kirby Medical Center, we are proud to celebrate team members who go above and beyond to serve others — both inside and outside our walls. ❤️

Quick Care Nurse Coordinator, Kiersten Rogers, BSN, RN, is once again participating in the Tunnel to Towers 104-story stair climb at One World Trade Center in New York City this June. This meaningful event honors the sacrifices made on 9/11 and supports injured and homeless firefighters, first responders, and military personnel.

Founded in honor of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who lost his life while saving others on September 11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has provided more than 1,700 mortgage-free smart homes to injured service members and first responders nationwide. In recognition of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the organization plans to deliver 343 smart homes this year to honor the 343 firefighters lost that day.

Kiersten’s dedication, compassion, and commitment to helping others are a wonderful example of the Kirby Culture in action. We are honored to support her efforts and cheer her on as she takes on this incredible challenge for the second year in a row.

As EMS Week comes to a close today, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated Kirby Ambulance team for everything they do to care for and support our community. No matter the time or situation, they are always ready and always here when our patients and neighbors need them most.

This week, the team celebrated with an open house, cookout, and even a hot dog eating contest — a well-deserved opportunity to come together and recognize the incredible work they do every day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Piatt County Non-Profit Leader Luncheon hosted by The Kirby Foundation. We enjoyed bringing local non-profit leaders together to connect and discuss grant writing.

A special thank you to our panelists — Allison Winter, Andrea Gerhard, and Nicole Van Hyfte — for sharing their expertise and insights.

We also appreciate the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois for partnering with us and supporting local non-profits with a $1,000 microgrant raffle. Congratulations to the Marion County Horizon Center on receiving the microgrant!
