We made delicious cucumber sandwiches using fresh ingredients generously donated by a resident family member. Everyone enjoyed the yummy sandwiches! We also spent some relaxing time on the front porch, sipping refreshing lemonade slushies and enjoying the beautiful day.

Some friendships truly stand the test of time. ❤️

Meet Janet and Wilma, two lifelong friends whose story began back in 8th grade. They went through high school together, and even after Wilma left for college, they never lost touch. Through the years, they continued to visit whenever Wilma came back to town.

Recently, Janet moved into our assisted living. She told Wilma, "You need to come join me!"

So that's exactly what she did.

Wilma made the trip back to Iowa with her daughter and moved into our assisted living. Now these lifelong friends are not only reunited—they're next-door neighbors once again, just like old times.

We love seeing friendships like theirs continue to grow and remind us that it's never too late to make more memories together.
