Piatt County Mental Health Center The Piatt County Mental Health Center was established July 14, 1970 through a resolution of the Piatt County Board.

Each year the Center serves approximately 550 county residents through a variety of programs which include: Developmental Services, Mental Health Services, and Substance Abuse Treatment/Prevention Services.

We are so thankful to Charles LeGrand from OSF HealthCare for taking time out of his busy schedule to provide our staff with a tour and information about their new Inpatient Behavioral and Mental Health Services in Urbana, IL. Our Executive Director, Clinical Director, and Addiction Counselor now have a much better understanding of the local services available in our community for inpatient MH and SUD needs. Thank you.

Thanks to the financial partnership of the Piatt County Board through their Opioid Settlement Funds, we were able to secure a Life Safer Box, equipped rescue medication, Stop The Bleed Kit, and other rescue devices for Bement CUSD 5. This latest box ensures that every single school district in Piatt County has now been provided one of these devices and hopefully further protects the safety of our teachers, students, and community. One of the most impactful ways of being an effective Community Mental Health Center is to be active in the community. This past weekend we were so thankful to participate in (2) different community events. First was serving at Monticello Fire & Rescue's Open House and being able to bring the Illinois National Guard's Hidden Threats to the community. Second was having some of our staff invited to facilitate breakout sessions for Monticello CUSD #25's Fall Institute. If you are a Piatt County organization that has interest in us sharing about our organization or providing educational resources related to mental health, substance use, or developmental services, please do not hesitate to give us a call.

In just three weeks your Piatt County Prevention Team will be partnering up again with our friends at Piatt County Sheriff's Office and Clinton Police Department National Drug Take Back Day.
