Our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) have long been an important part of care at Montrose Regional Health, and their impact continues to grow.

These highly trained professionals include physician assistants (PAs), nurse practitioners (NPs), certified nurse midwives (CNMs), certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), and clinical nurse specialists (CNSs). They work alongside our physicians to expand access to care, spend more time with patients, and support high-quality care throughout our community.

In this episode, Vanessa and Melissa explain what acute rehab is and how it differs from skilled nursing. They discuss what patients can expect during a typical day, including intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and how care is tailored to each patient's individual goals.

They also share how the Acute Rehab team works with patients and families to help people regain independence and return to the activities and routines that matter most to them. From getting back to hiking, golf, or fly fishing to simply being able to do their own laundry, the focus is on helping patients get back to a meaningful life.
