Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut

Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut Giving Hope To Adults & Families. Teen Challenge is one of the oldest, largest and most successful programs of its kind in the world.

Established in 1958 by David Wilkerson, Teen Challenge has grown to more than 170 centers in the United States. In 2012, an estimated 22.2 million persons aged 12 or older were classified with substance dependence or abuse in the past year (8.5 percent of the population aged 12 or older). Of these, 2.8 million were classified with dependence or abuse of both alcohol and illicit drugs, 4.5 million

had dependence or abuse of illicit drugs but not alcohol, and 14.9 million had dependence or abuse of alcohol but not illicit drugs. Overall, 17.7 million had alcohol dependence or abuse, and 7.3 million had illicit drug dependence or abuse. Teen Challenge has responded with action to statistics like these. Providing residential and non-residential care for thousands of men and women seeking freedom from life-controlling problems, Teen Challenge has become their answer. In the process of breaking down the addiction cycle, Teen Challenge has become a solution to the addiction crisis. Teen Challenge is known throughout the world for providing successful recovery programs. Enthusiastic law enforcement officials, judges, mayors, governors and other prominent community and country leaders advocate the mission of Teen Challenge. Several United States presidents have voiced their appreciation for the unique work of Teen Challenge. Teen Challenge is structured to allow flexibility in meeting the needs of those whose lives have been shattered by addictions. Where residential care is needed, Teen Challenge offers a well-developed, multi-phased discipleship training program. Teen Challenge also provides extensive non-residential assistance through personal and group sessions. Prevention programs are provided to thousands each year through public school assemblies and church meetings. Teen Challenge has significant impact on local communities. By the time an individual enters Teen Challenge he has typically had almost every relationship and family tie shattered that might be helpful in recovery. He has usually formed strong relationships with people and groups that actually perpetuate the addiction spiral. After completing Teen Challenge, hope is restored to more than just the addict, but to the family as well. Solid, positive relationships within community and family are also re-established. Teen Challenge involvement in a community facilitates a reduction in drug-related crimes in the area. Prevention efforts within the community improve since recovered addicts exert a profound impact on family, friends, and community. The economic cost to society is reduced and restored men and women become contributors to their community. Teen Challenge even participates in community projects, outreaches, food bank services, correctional facility meetings, thrift stores and work projects. Many Teen Challenge programs offer assistance and referral services to the community

🚧 God Is Building Something New! 🙌

We’re excited to share an update from Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut! Our offices are being framed out, and we’re watching this new space take shape right before our eyes.

But this project is about so much more than a building. It’s about creating a place where lives can be changed, families can be restored, and men can find hope, healing, and a new life through Jesus Christ. ❤️

As the walls go up, we’re reminded that Jesus is building more than a facility — He is building lives.

We’re so grateful for everyone who has prayed, given, encouraged, and supported this project. Thank you for partnering with us and believing in what God is doing!

The offices are taking shape, the vision is becoming reality, and Jesus is changing lives. 🙏🔨

If you would like to support our program building project, please visit our website https://tcnewengland.org/donate-today/ or reach out to us at 774-321-4219.

Every prayer and every gift makes a difference. Thank you for helping us build a place where hope and transformation can happen! ❤️

🙌 HUGE thank you to Bethel Christian Church from West Hartford, CT!

This past Saturday, their amazing crew joined forces with our team to tackle some serious work around the property. From heavy lifting outside—removing concrete, working heavy equipment, and grounds prep—to getting the inside sparkling clean and setting up furniture in the new space, they showed up with big energy and servant hearts! 🏗️🧹✨

It’s incredible what can get done when a community comes together. We are so grateful for your partnership, hard work, and support! 💛

Check out some of the action from Saturday below! 👇

🏗️ Kitchen Renovation Update: Rebuilding from the Inside Out

We are so excited to share a major update regarding the heart of our campus, the Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut kitchen!

As you can see from the photos, the physical transformation is well underway. The old structures have been stripped back to make room for something brand new. But far more exciting than the physical walls being rebuilt is the spiritual rebuilding that Jesus is doing in the lives of our residents every single day.
Fueling the Hearts of Our Residents

This kitchen is so much more than just a place to prepare meals; it is a central hub where the men in our program gather to break bread, share testimonies, and encourage one another in their walk with Christ. Just as this space is being stripped down and renewed, Jesus is doing the exact same deep work in the hearts of these men—breaking down old habits, healing deep wounds, and building them back up as new creations.

Every meal served here fuels a resident who is actively learning to trust God, study the Word, and walk out his freedom in a safe, structured residential environment.
🤝 Partner With Us to Help Us Finish Strong

While we watch God move in the hearts of the men on our campus, we are also trusting Him to provide the remaining resources needed to complete this physical space.

We still need to raise $160,000 to complete the renovation.

Your generosity directly supports the environment of hope and transformation where these men encounter Christ. If you want to partner with us in what God is doing here and invest in the future of our residents, please consider giving today.

🏗️ Construction Progress Update – Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut Mens Center 🏗️

We are excited to share that construction at our Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut Men's Center is continuing to move forward! Every step of progress brings us closer to completing a facility that will better serve men seeking freedom from addiction and other life-controlling issues.

This building is more than a construction project, it is a testament to God's faithfulness. Every day, we witness the transforming power of Jesus Christ in the lives of men who come to our program broken, hopeless, and searching for a new way forward. Through faith in Christ and discipleship, lives are being changed and restored.

As exciting as the progress has been, we still need to raise $165,000 to complete this project. We believe God will provide, just as He has every step of the way, and we are grateful for those who have partnered with us through prayer and financial support.

Jesus Christ remains at the center of everything we do. Every dollar given helps create a place where men can encounter Christ, overcome addiction and life-controlling issues, and discover the purpose God has for their lives.

If God places it on your heart to help us reach the finish line, please consider making a donation today:
