Richard (Dick) Osa Hartman, 89, of Moorefield, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at home in Moorefield, West Virginia. He was born on August 19, 1936, in Purgitsville, West Virginia, to the late Osa and Lulu Catherine (Davy) Hartman. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by seven brothers, four sisters, a son-in-law, and a daughter-in-law.

Richard attended the Number 6 School on Stringtown Road and later Romney High School, where he played football in the 1953 State B Championship game. He graduated in 1956. Following graduation, Richard held various jobs before beginning a long and distinguished career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service. Over 35 years, he worked throughout the state, contributing to the development of numerous flood control dams. He retired as a Senior Certified Civil Engineering Technician.

Richard shared 69 loving years of marriage with his wife, Shelvy Jane Barr Hartman. Together, they raised three children: Pamela Phillips (Dale) of Moorefield, Cynthia Gibbons (Ronald) of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Richard Hartman II (Shannon) of Wi******er, Virginia. He was a proud grandfather to Patrick Wilson of Blacksburg, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A devoted member of Duffey Memorial Methodist Church, Richard was deeply involved in church leadership, serving as chair of the Board of Trustees, a member of the Administrative Council, and an active participant in the adult Bible class.

Richard was also a committed member of his community. He served as chair of Moorefield Active Caring (MAC) House, was a member and vice president of the Moorefield Park and Recreation Commission and supported local youth through his involvement with MHS Athletic and Band Boosters.

Richard had a wide variety of hobbies including restoring an antique tractor, an antique car and steam and gas engines. He was also a licensed pilot and enjoyed operating his railcar on tracks across West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 19, 2026, in the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Flynn officiant. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Richard will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his dedication to his community, and his deep love for his family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Rebecca Ann Thompson, age 34 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday morning, June 9, 2026 at her residence. Born February 23, 1992, in Petersburg, WV, she was the daughter of Kenneth Jerome Lyons and the late Melissa Sue Thompson Hott. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents.

Rebecca was a vibrant spirit who brought joy to everyone around her. She had an incredible love for her children—Izabella, Donivan, and Maverick—who were the light of her life. Whether at rock concerts, outdoors fishing, or expressing her creativity through her artwork, she found joy in the moments that made life beautiful. Her laughter, kindness, and affection for animals will be dearly missed.

Rebecca is survived by her three wonderful children, Izabella Skye Wratchford, Donivan Ray White, and Maverick Ace White, who will carry her memory in their hearts. She also leaves behind her fiancé, Drew Ryan White, her aunt Rachel Thompson, her brother Jesse Alonzo Thompson, and her sister Danielle Sarrian Eubanks, all of whom were blessed to know her love.

A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held at a later date; details will be shared at a later date.

In this time of sorrow, let us also celebrate the joy Rebecca brought to our lives as she will be forever remembered and deeply missed. Jerry Neal McDonald, age 68, of Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday evening, June 10, 2026, at the Wi******er Medical Center in Wi******er, VA. Born April 13, 1958, in Arlington, VA, he was the son of the late Garret Keith McDonald and Ruth Elizabeth Day McDonald. Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elsie Lynn Mongold McDonald in April 2021. Two brothers; Travis McDonald and Barry McDonald also preceded him in death.

Jerry is survived by his daughter Rebecca McDonald of Moorefield WV; his son, Calvin (Gena) McDonald of Petersburg WV; a sister, Mary Thacker of Wi******er, VA; Three brothers, Perry McDonald of Petersburg , WV, Gary McDonald of Chambersburg PA and Terry McDonald of West Bend WI; four grandsons, Maverick, Nathan, Chandler & Matthew; a great-granddaughter Braylin Kay and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry had a unique gift for making people feel welcome, bringing warmth and kindness to everyone who crossed his path as a greeter at Walmart. He became a beloved fixture to countless customers and colleagues. His laughter and genuine smile created an inviting space, reminding us all of the simple joys found in connections and made every customer feel like family, ensuring that no one left his sight without a little extra joy in their hearts. He thoroughly enjoyed die-cast antique cars and trucks and had a wonderful collection, spending countless hours perfecting his display and sharing the history behind each miniature masterpiece with family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Moorefield Assembly of God Church with Wade Armentrout officiant.

Jerry’s life was a testament to the beauty of nurturing relationships and appreciating every moment. Those who knew him will remember his infectious spirit and ability to find joy in the little things. Robert "Bobby" Dale Iman, age 79, a resident at a Rescare Facility in Martinsburg, WV, formerly of Jenkins Run Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, June 9, 2026, in the care of Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, WV. Born on June 7, 1947, in Elk Garden, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Baldwin and the late Buana Grace Ganoe Baldwin. He was preceded in death by a sister; Delores Jean Iman Short in January 2021; a brother-in-law, Franklin Short in April 2009; and a niece Tressa Lynn Short Flanagan in August 2020.

Bobby is survived by a nephew, Lawrence (Pooch) Short of Moorefield; three nieces, Jeanie Kimble, Kathy Short and Donna Shockey (Rob) all of Moorefield.

Bobby's family would like to thank those at the Rescare Facility in Martinsburg, WV for the compassionate care and love they provided during his time there. He considered them his second family and was loved and adored by all at the facility and was fondly referred to as "Pappy". Their kindness and dedication brought him comfort and happiness in his later years. Additionally, they extend their thanks to the team at Hospice for ensuring he was at peace during his journey home.

To know Bobby was to know a truly beautiful soul. He was a kid at heart with a magnetic spirit, always finding the most joy when spending time with his family. He possessed a special gift for connecting with younger children and could always be found playing games, sharing laughter, and making them smile. Bobby was a man of extraordinary selflessness, always lending a helping hand to anyone that needed it. His generosity, warm smile, and gentle guidance touched countless lives.

The family will have a private graveside inurnment ceremony at his resting place in Olivet Cemetery, Moorefield, WV at a later date.
