The Butta Bear was built from passion, purpose, and a full-circle journey rooted right here in Mooresville. As a Mooresville native, I grew up watching the old Burlington Mill stand as a symbol of hard work and community — a place where many of my family members spent years working before it eventually closed. Seeing that same space reborn into a thriving business and social district, and now having my own studio there, means more to me than words can explain.
My passion for massage started long before it became a career. Back in school, I was the friend giving shoulder rubs on the bus or helping teammates and friends loosen up after long days. Helping people feel better came naturally to me, and over time I realized bodywork was more than a talent — it was my calling.
The name “Butta Bear” came during massage school because of my smooth, calming massage style mixed with my bigger build and warm personality. The name stuck, and eventually became the identity behind the kind of care I always wanted to provide: therapeutic work that feels personal, comforting, and real.
At The Butta Bear, I believe your wellness should never feel rushed, scripted, or sales-driven. Unlike many commercial spas, I don’t believe in endless upselling, cookie-cutter routines, or treating clients like numbers to maximize volume. Every session is customized to what your body actually needs that day. My focus is simple — helping people heal, recover, relax, and feel genuinely cared for.
More than anything, I want my clients to know I care about their wellbeing more than I care about their wallet. If you walk away feeling better physically, mentally, and emotionally, then I’ve done my job.
