Twenty-five years ago, September 11 changed our nation forever.
Today, we remember every life lost, the families who carried unimaginable grief, the survivors, and the first responders, rescue workers, volunteers, and everyday people who ran toward danger to help others. We also honor those who continue to live with the physical and emotional effects of that day—and those who have since died from 9/11-related illnesses.
Many young people now know September 11 only through the stories we share. It is our responsibility to help them remember not only the tragedy, but also the courage, compassion, service, and unity that followed.
Take part in the@911memorial social media campaign today.
Look up and Take a photo of the sky wherever you are and share it in remembrance. May we honor those we lost by caring for one another, serving our communities, and carrying that spirit of compassion forward.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
