🌸 Sunday Encouragement from Laura’s Village 🌸

As we step into a new week, may we remember that we don’t have to carry every worry on our own. Philippians 4:6 reminds us to bring our concerns to God through prayer, with thanksgiving, trusting Him with what we cannot control.

For families and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, each season can bring new questions, challenges, and opportunities. Whatever this week holds, may we approach it with faith, gratitude, and hope. 💗

And as we look ahead, there are exciting opportunities to connect, learn, grow, and build friendships together!

💪 Fitness isn't just about getting stronger. It's about living stronger.

At Laura’s Village, we know that independence can look different for every person.

Sometimes it means carrying groceries.

Sometimes it means moving a chair.

Sometimes it means having the strength and confidence to participate in an activity with friends.

That’s why we’re excited about ABLEd Fitness.

Their neuroadaptive approach combines fitness with functional, real-life skills—helping athletes develop physical abilities that can translate beyond the gym.
Because fitness should be about more than a workout.

It should be about confidence. Participation. Independence. And possibility. 💜

📍 ABLEd Fitness is based in Fort Mill, SC, and working through Laura's Village for the Lake Norman area.

🏋️‍♀️ Is traditional fitness not working for your loved one?

Maybe your child or adult loved one…
• Avoids or feels excluded from gyms and sports
• Struggles with everyday physical tasks
• Becomes frustrated when physical activities are difficult
• Doesn't feel comfortable in traditional group fitness programs
• Could benefit from building greater physical independence

If any of these sound familiar, ABLEd Fitness may be worth exploring. 💜

ABLEd Fitness was created specifically to provide neurodivergent athletes with fitness opportunities that are supportive, purposeful, and focused on real-life outcomes.

At Laura’s Village, we believe every adult deserves opportunities to build confidence, develop independence, and participate fully in community life.
