Mr. Jason Estep, 46, of North Wilkesboro, passed away on August 9, 2026 at his home.
Jason was born on November 9, 1979 in McDowell County West Virginia to Luther Mastin.
He had a great love for his children and lent a helping hand to everyone. Jason was a jack of all trades and was the best mechanic anywhere.
Jason is preceded in death by his father, Luther Mastin Estep.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Alexis Estep; son, Jonathan Estep; brother, Jamie Estep and many nieces, nephews, special cousins.

The family will conduct a private service at a later date.

Mrs. Mary Elaine Bishop Frazier,71, of Moravian Falls, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at her home.
Mary was born on December 25, 1954 in Wilkes County to Clay Bishop and Nora Rash Bishop.
She was full of life, had an amazing sense of humor and was beloved by her family. Mary never turned anyone away if they need help, when not helping other she enjoyed flowers and candle making.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Madge Elizabeth Linberry, Diane Logan; brother, John William Bishop and the father of her children, Danny Harrold Frazier.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Brandy Frazier of Wilkesboro, Katie Frazier of North Wilkesboro, Cynthia Frazier of Moravian Falls; son, Adam Frazier of Moravian Falls; brother, James Bishop and wife, Donna of Millers Creek; grandchildren, Caleb Richardson, Avan Richardson, Adalynn Richardson, Skylar Frazier and Jameson Eller.

A celebration of life with a gathering of family and friends will be held, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes Chapel, 2109 Moravian Falls Road, Moravian Falls, NC 28654.

Mrs. Vickie Elizabeth Barker, 70, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation.
Vickie was born on February 15, 1956 in Wilkes County to Conrad Revere “Bill” Baker and Hazeline Combs Barker.
She had a great love for all people and would help other in any way she could. Vickie was an avid reader, who also enjoyed wordsearches and cooking.
Vickie is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Cheryl Lynn Barker, Tammy Wyatt; and brother, Cameron Barker.
Vickie is survived by her daughter Christy Barker of Union Grove; brothers, Mark Barker and wife Ariel of North Wilkesboro, Bobby Barker of North Wilkesboro; nieces and nephews, Cody Barker of Millers Creek, David Barker of Ronda, Ross Wyatt of North Wilkesboro, Sarah Baker of North Wilkesboro, Chris Barker of Wilkesboro, Katie Barker of Wilkesboro; 1 great niece and 3 great nephews.

Mr. James “Frank” Minton, 76, of Boomer passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Frank was born on July 11, 1950 in Wilkes County to Junior Cain Minton and Ethel Mazie Luther Minton.
He was a devoted family man who loved his wife Sally wholeheartedly. A gentle, loving and kind man who embraced everyone he met. Frank was a very hard worker and a jack of all trades. He was a mechanic and recapped tires in this youth. He worked for Taylor Brown until he retired and made many friends along the way including life long friend, Michael Moore.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sally Elizabeth Brown Minton; sister, Barbara June; brother, Houston Minton.
Frank is survived by his son, Mike Minton, daughters, Wendy Minton ( Porky), Cissy Anderson (Bobby); brother, David Minton, 7 grandchildren, Savanah Call (Chris), Austin Church (Kirsten), Matthew Jennings (Brandie), Victoria Adams (Dustin), Dante Minton ( Sheena), Malakia Minton (Preston), Michael James, step granddaughter, Breanna Anderson, 16 great grandchildren Jaylen, Kaelyn, Josselin, Madelyn, Brooklyn, Emmett, Elliott, Emerlynn, Addison, Tristin, Logan, Zayvren, Asher, Frankie, Maddy and Grayson.

Rev. Gwyn “Junior” Mitchell McGlamery Sr ,86, of Moravian Falls, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at this home.

Junior was born on November 10, 1939 in McDowell County, West Virginia to Gwyn Welborn McGlamery and Effie Mae Hicks McGlamery.

He was an evangelist minister who sang and ministered to those in nursing homes. He was a member of Divine Will Holiness Church. .Junior loved his family and grandchildren.

Junior is preceded in death by his parents.

Junior is survived by his wife, Crystal McGlamery; daughters, Amber Howell (Michael), Tammy Rogers (Joe), Judy Gibson (Henry), Donna McGlamery and Angela Moore (Robert); sons, Gwyn McGlamery Jr. (Lora), Keith McGlamery (Deanna) and Michael McGlamery; brothers, Dennis McGlamery (Camelia) and Ronnie McGlamery (Marlene);16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and ex-wife Shirley Brooks.

Mr. Richard Lee Doub, 66, of Wilkesboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Westwood Hills Skilled Nursing Facility.
Richard was born on January 19, 1960 in Forsyth County to Kermit Calvin Doub and Hester Ann Hudspeth Doub.
He was a very talented musically playing both the guitar and mandolin. He played old time country, gospel and church hymns and enjoyed playing at public events, churches and Fiddlers Conventions. Everyone enjoyed hearing him play and sing. Richard was also a talented poet. He was in bad health for the last two years, now is free from all the pain and with our Heavenly Father. Love you and will see you again in Heaven little brother.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mike and Lloyd Doub.
Richard is survived by his sister, Susan Smith; nephews, Michael Doub (Amanda), Kyle Doub and their children as well as cousins.
No services are to be held.

Mr. Mark Alan Manchette, 58, passed away on Friday May 29, 2026 at Amorem Front Care Unit in Hudson.

Mark was born on May 31, 1967 in Broward County Florida to Charles Rinehart and Bonnie Kay Manchette.

Mark grew up riding horses in Florida. Mark was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Tammy Manchette. He loved and adored his two daughters from his first marriage, Kayla and Kristen. In his spare time, he loved playing disk golf with friends at various disk golf courses, he enjoyed riding in this convertible with the top down, swimming at the beach, hiking and absolutely loved visting waterfalls, photograph in all forms and the mountains. Mark was a loving man with a good heart and will forever be remembered by those who loved him.

Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Kay Rinehart; uncle, Dr. Ron Manchette.

Mark is survived by his wife, Tammy Manchette of the home; daughters, Kayla Manchette of Charlotte, Kristen Manchette of Raleigh; father, Charles Rinehart (Diane) of West Palm Beach Florida; aunt, Monique Smith of Murphy NC, Janet Mancette of West Jefferson; uncle, Gene Manchette of Naples Florida; 3 step grandchildren, Mckenzy Large, Alxander Mollohan, Isabella Large.

Mrs. Margaret Ann Stone Call, 87, of North Wilkesboro, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 11, 1939 in Wilkes County to the late James E. Stone Sr. and Annie L. Combs Stone.
Margaret was a member of Gordon Baptist Church. Her love and dedication were to God and her family. She was a wonderful person; she always got along with others and showing love to all who knew her.
Her favorite pass time was working in the yard and; spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Hubert F. Call; daughter, Pamala Cleary; son, Tony Call; grandson, Christopher Cleary; sisters, Mary Cheeks, Barbara Stone; brother, James ‘Sonny” Stone.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Call Lunsford and husband, Clyde “Cubby”; Lisa Call Greer and husband, Donnie; sons, Steven Call, Randy Call and wife, Melissa Call; brother, Gene Stone and wife, Gloria; son-in-law, Johnny Cleary; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Gordon Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Rev. Mark Barlow, Rev. Elliott Smith, and Rev. Terry Call will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Thomas Alvin Vick II, 50, of Millers Creek passed away on May 3, 2026 at his home.
Thomas was born on May 22, 1975 in San Diego County, California to Thomas Alvin Vick and Gayle Elaine Haywood Vick.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a water treatment specialist and was deployed to Haiti in 2010 as part of humanitarian relief efforts, as well as Iraq in 2011. Following his service, he continued pursuing his lifelong passion for history and the natural world, earning a master’s degree in Archaeology from Appalachian State University.

Tommy cared deeply about the world around him and the people within it. He was known for his willingness to help others, his strong sense of responsibility, and his determination to leave places better than he found them. He loved hiking, gardening, working with his hands, and spending time outdoors, but above all else, he loved fishing. Whether teaching others what he knew, exploring woods, or simply spending quiet hours outside, he found peace and meaning in nature and shared that passion freely with those around him. Those closest to him knew him as someone who felt deeply and lived with conviction. His care for others, stubborn spirit, humor, and passion left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Melissa Blommaert; his children, Kieran, Arik, Tori, and Anjali Vick; his grandson, Liam; his parents, Gayle Boddy and Tom Vick; and his siblings, Timothy Vick and Tracy Grassel.

Services honoring Tommy's life will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, the visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes, 2109 Moravian Falls Rd, Moravian Falls, North Carolina 28654. A gathering at W. Kerr Scott Reservoir will follow the service to celebrate his life, share stories, and spend time together outdoors in a way that felt true to him.

Military Honors will be presented by North Carolina Honor Guard and Blue Ridge Mountain Post 1142.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to organizations that reflected the things he cared deeply about, including Take a Warrior Fishing and MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women).

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mrs. Robin Janine Mastin Church, 53, of North Wilkesboro passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 at her home.

Robin was born on October 17, 1972 in Wilkes to Roger Eugene Mastin and Barbara Jean Jennings Mastin.

She was an amazing person, who loved her family and spending time with them. Robin had a great sense of humor and many friends whom she loved and they loved her.

Robin is preceded in death by father, Roger Eugene Mastin; brother, Rodney Eric Mastin and step father, Dale Osborne.

Robin is survived by her husband, Shane Church of the home; daughters, Zoie Johnson (Caleb Moore) of Millers Creek, Sierra Bowers (Jared) of Hays; grandchildren, Parker Moore and a grand daughter on the way; mother, Barbara Mastin Baker and stepfather, Arlice Baker of McGrady; brother, Matthew Mastin (Clarissa) of North Wilkesboro; step brothers, Josh Baker and John Baker both of Taylorsville
