HA is a humectant — it pulls water into the skin and holds onto it. When you build up your skin's water content ahead of time, you're giving your Erbium treatment more to work with. Well-hydrated skin responds more evenly to the laser and tends to heal smoother and faster afterward.
This is one of the reasons we love Erbium over CO2 in the first place — it's more controlled, with less thermal spread, so pairing it with a hydration prep routine just stacks the benefits even more.
