Broad Street Clinic

The Broad St. Clinic is a chronic care clinic treating the four chronic disease of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart and/or lung disease. Patients must qualify for the DAP, Drug Assistance Program, which requires that they meet with a patient advocate, present their current financial data, and if their income falls at or below 200% for the Federal poverty level, then their medications are provi

ded by the Pharmaceutical companies, free of charge. All of these requirements to qualify for the DAP program must be reviewed by the patient advocates with the patients on an annual basis. The Clinic is open Monday through Thursday. We close on Fridays in an effort to keep our electric bill as low as possible. Tuesdays are patient days when volunteer Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurses work up and see patients. It is not unusual for seventy patients to be seen on a first come, first served basis between 10:00 am and frequently as late as 8 pm each Tuesday. Thursday is Pharmacy day when our wonderful volunteer Pharmacy manager, Dick Gray, frequently arrives before 6 am to prepare 500 prescriptions for on average 150 patients. Pharmacy hours are from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and then 1:30 to 4 pm. We carry no Class II narcotics; the strongest medication we carry is 800 mg of Ibuprofen. Other monthly clinics provided through the clinic to existing patients ONLY:
- GYN clinic
- Mental Health clinic
- Eye Clinic
- Dental Clinic (cleanings only at this time)
- Foot Clinic

❤️ Don't Ignore the Warning Signs. Your Heart May Be Trying to Tell You Something.
Heart disease doesn't always announce itself with dramatic symptoms. Sometimes the warning signs are subtle—but they should never be ignored.
Pay attention to symptoms such as:
• Chest pain or discomfort
• Shortness of breath
• Unusual fatigue
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Pain or discomfort in the arms, neck, jaw, or back
Early detection can make all the difference. The sooner heart disease is identified, the more treatment options are available and the greater the chance of preventing serious complications.
If something doesn't feel right, listen to your body and seek medical attention. Taking action today could protect your health for years to come.
❤️ Your heart works hard for you every day—take care of it.

What happens when high blood pressure goes untreated?

Over time, uncontrolled high blood pressure can quietly damage the body and increase the risk of serious health problems, including:
❤️ Heart disease
🧠 Stroke
🩺 Kidney damage
👁️ Vision problems
💔 Heart failure

The challenging part?
Many people have no noticeable symptoms until significant damage has already begun.

Don’t wait until you feel sick to take your health seriously. A simple blood pressure check and early action can make a life-changing difference.

At Broad Street Clinic, we’re here to help you monitor, manage, and take control of your health—because prevention matters. 💙

One of the greatest privileges of working at Broad Street Clinic is learning from the people we serve every single day.
We asked members of our team to share something they've learned from a patient, and their responses are a powerful reminder that care and connection go both ways.
Our patients teach us about resilience, hope, gratitude, and strength. They inspire us more than they know and continue to shape the heart of what we do every day.
Because sometimes, the greatest lessons come from the people we're honored to care for. 💙
