Friendships and relationships can have a huge impact on how we feel about ourselves.

Healthy friendships help us feel supported, respected, and accepted. While, unhealthy friendships can leave us feeling stressed, excluded,
pressured, or hurt.

You deserve relationships that are built on trust, respect, honesty, and kindness. Recognizing healthy vs unhealthy patterns is the first step toward creating connections that support your happiness and well-being.

Sometimes the loudest critical voice isn’t at school, online, or at home. Sometimes it’s the voice inside our own head.

Everyone has thoughts about themselves throughout the day. Some thoughts help us grow and feel confident. Other thoughts tear us
down, make us doubt ourselves, and make stress feel even heavier.

Sometimes we hear a negative thought, such as “I’m not good enough” or “Nobody likes me,” so many times that we start believing it’s true.

The problem is that thoughts aren’t always facts. Just because we think something doesn’t automatically make it true.

When we’re feeling overwhelmed, our brains are even more likely to focus on mistakes, fears, and worst-case scenarios.

But, there’s hope and we can work hard to change that. We can choose to challenge these negative thoughts by choosing thoughts that help us to grow. 🌱

What’s your truth?

Quick question 🙋🏻‍♀️

At the start of the new year, I set a goal to offer trainings in 2026. I put it on pause to focus on building Growing Minds Therapy in other ways. I’m finally ready to move forward with this now.

To start, I’m considering starting “Lunch & Learn” trainings for clinicians and school professionals focused on youth mental health. But first I want to hear from you, is this something you would be interested in? Virtual or in-person?

We were so honored to be part of Glowing Through It tonight.

From powerful conversations with teens about self-esteem and healthy relationships, to helping our younger groups understand their brains and learn what healthy friendships look like—every moment mattered. Green flags all around. 💚

I’m incredibly grateful for this team of therapists. They showed up with heart, skill, and so much care. They absolutely knocked it out of the park.

Thank you to It Takes A Village: SMP and St. Mary Parish Youth Prevention Coalition for having us!

We’re so excited to be a part of this event! See y’all tonight!
