This farewell is extra bittersweet for Morella Physical Therapy. Julie truly has grown up in this clinic and by her dad’s side… she may not be perusing the same path but she is undoubtedly following her calling and will change lives just the same. Our loss is the immense gain of the Panthers 🐾 and we’re looking forward to witnessing all of Julie’s accomplishments to come!
Your hard work has paid off… Congratulations, best wishes, but most of all YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!

Welcome to Coach Julie Morella! Coach Morella has worked last year as an Assistant Volleyball and Assistant Softball Coach. Coach Morella is a 2010 Graduate of BHS.
She has been a Physical Therapy Technician for 10 years and attended Nicholls State University with a concentration in Human Performance Education.
As a student at BHS, she was a stand out student athlete as a four year member of the volleyball, swim, and tennis teams. 💛🖤
“I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to return to my alma mater and give back to the school that provided me with so many amazing opportunities.
We have a special group of girls on the volleyball team with so much talent and I’m looking forward to seeing all that we will accomplish this year. I am also looking forward to working with the students of BHS!” Welcome home, Coach Morella!

Staff Spotlight ⭐️

Michael Yoes, Jr., PT, MPT, Cert DN

Michael has been practicing Physical Therapy for 16 years treating patients with physical dysfunction.

He is certified in Dry Needling and will include it when needed in his treatment programs.

Michael uses his upbeat attitude and creative treatment approach to achieve patient goals in New Iberia at Rehab Xcel PT clinic. He treats any and all physical issues a patient may encounter like dizziness and vertigo, back and neck pain, sports and running injuries, foot and ankle mechanical deficiencies, rehab after surgeries and everything in between.

Let’s talk about 🄽🄴🄲🄺 🄿🄰🄸🄽
Neck pain is pain felt in the back of the neck - the upper spine area, just below the head. When certain nerves are affected, the pain can extend beyond the back of the neck to areas such as the upper back, shoulders, & arms.
Neck pain can be caused by sudden trauma such as a fall, sports injury, car accident, or by long term problems in the spine. Poor posture, obesity, smoking, repetitive lifting, office and computer work, and involvement in athletic activity are all risk factors for developing neck pain.
