🧠 Supporting growth through play.

Our therapists have been enjoying using the headset in pediatric therapy sessions, helping provide enhanced auditory feedback while keeping therapy fun, engaging, and child-led.

We’re excited to continue exploring tools that support confidence, communication, attention, and connection. 💙

What dysregulation can REALLY look like in kids 👇

Dysregulation doesn’t always look like a tantrum.

Sometimes it looks like:
🔹 Constant movement
🔹 Shutting down or withdrawing
🔹 Difficulty with transitions
🔹 Emotional outbursts
🔹 Sensory overload in busy environments

When children feel overwhelmed, their behavior is often communicating a need—not a choice.

At OT Park, we focus on understanding the “why” behind behaviors and helping children build the skills they need to feel safe, confident, and regulated.

Remember:
✨ Connection comes before correction
✨ Regulation is a skill that develops over time
✨ Every child deserves support and understanding

Understanding sensory needs helps us better support the way children experience the world 💛✨

Sensory seeking and sensory avoiding can look different for every child — from constant movement and jumping to covering ears or avoiding certain textures. Learning these signs can help us respond with support, not frustration.

A few helpful strategies:
⭐️ movement breaks
⭐️ quiet spaces
⭐️ heavy work activities
⭐️ sensory tools + fidgets
⭐️ predictable routines

Reminder: sensory needs are not “bad behavior.” Every child deserves understanding and support 🤍

Sometimes the signs of needing Occupational Therapy can show up in everyday moments ✨

If your child struggles with:
🖍️ Fine motor skills
🎧 Sensory sensitivities
⚽ Coordination & balance
🔄 Transitions & routines
👕 Self-care skills

…OT may help them build confidence, independence, and skills through play-based support 💛

Every child develops differently, but extra support can make daily tasks feel a little easier — for both kids and parents.

Honored to present my poster at AOTA Inspire 2026!

As someone who loves innovation and believes in blending creativity with clinical care, it was exciting to share my poster:
“Digital Tools in Pediatric Occupational Therapy: How to Select and Use Them Effectively.”

The presentation focused on how technology, AI, movement-based tools, and interactive platforms can support engagement, participation, and outcomes in pediatric OT when used intentionally and ethically.

Proud to represent OT Park and our vision of combining traditional occupational therapy with innovative digital tools to create meaningful, child-centered interventions.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, discussed the future of occupational therapy using technology, shared ideas, and engaged in such inspiring conversations. Excited for what’s ahead for pediatric OT and innovation!
