The Lionsgate Is Not the Portal… You Are
By Faith Spina
Every year, people ask me what the Lionsgate Portal means.
Is it real?
Is there really an energetic opening?
Does something magical happen on August eighth?
Perhaps.
Perhaps not.
I have learned that sometimes we become so fascinated by the doorway that we forget to ask the more important question…
Am I willing to walk through it?
Many years ago, I was guided to move to Kauai on August eighth, two thousand eight. O8/08/08
At the time, I knew nothing about the Lionsgate Portal.
I wasn’t following numerology.
I wasn’t trying to align myself with some spiritual event.
Something quiet inside me simply whispered…
“Go.”
So I did.
It wasn’t until years later that I discovered the symbolism surrounding that date.
I smiled.
Not because I suddenly had proof that my intuition was right.
But because life had quietly woven together another beautiful thread in a tapestry I couldn’t yet see.
That has happened to me many times.
The understanding comes after the experience.
Not before.
Perhaps that is one of the greatest misunderstandings of the spiritual journey.
We keep waiting for certainty before we take the first step.
But life doesn’t usually work that way.
The soul rarely hands us a map.
It offers us an invitation.
A feeling.
A knowing that doesn’t always make logical sense.
And then it quietly asks…
“Do you trust Me enough to begin?”
That is where faith is born.
Not in certainty.
In participation.
Today, there are countless articles explaining the Lionsgate.
Some describe the alignment of the stars.
Others speak of Sirius, ancient Egypt, or cosmic energies.
I find all of it fascinating.
But for me…
The greatest portal has never been in the sky.
It has always been inside the human heart.
Every time we choose forgiveness instead of resentment…
A portal opens.
Every time we release an old identity…
A portal opens.
Every time we finally say yes to a dream we’ve postponed for years…
A portal opens.
Every time we choose love over fear…
A portal opens.
Perhaps the heavens simply remind us of something that has always been available within us.
A doorway is only meaningful if we are willing to cross the threshold.
That threshold rarely feels comfortable.
It asks us to loosen our grip on certainty.
To stop demanding guarantees.
To become willing to discover rather than control.
That has been one of my greatest teachers.
Again and again, life has asked me to move before I fully understood where I was going.
Again and again, I have discovered that meaning often reveals itself only after the journey has begun.
Maybe that is where you find yourself today.
Perhaps you are standing before a doorway you cannot explain.
Maybe your heart keeps whispering toward something your mind cannot yet justify.
A new relationship.
A new career.
A move.
A creative dream.
A quiet inner knowing that refuses to leave you alone.
You do not have to force yourself to believe anything.
You do not have to convince anyone else.
You simply have to become quiet enough to hear your own soul.
The greatest mysteries of my life have never arrived with certainty.
They arrived as invitations.
Some I accepted.
Some I ignored.
Looking back, I have discovered that every invitation was gently asking the same question…
“Are you willing to become someone you have never been before?”
Perhaps that is the real Lionsgate.
Not a date on the calendar.
Not a celestial event.
But the moment you stop living from yesterday’s conclusions…
…and become willing to step into tomorrow’s mystery.
So wherever you are today…
Pause.
Breathe.
Listen.
There is a doorway waiting.
Not somewhere out there.
Right here.
In this moment.
And perhaps all it is asking of you is one small, courageous step.
One step taken before the entire path is visible.
Because sometimes…
The bridge only appears…
After we begin walking.
With love,
Faith Spina
