It is such an honor for us to congratulate Brandon Mitchell on his graduation from the OPT-IN internship program!

For the last eight weeks, Brandon has had some hands-on experience here at Kirksey Funeral Home, challenged himself by stepping out of his comfort zone, acquired new skills and become an important part of our team. It has been a pleasure to see how much he has changed and grown during the summer.

We are thrilled to say that it's not the end! Brandon will keep working for us at Kirksey Funeral Home between his classes in college.

Congrats, Brandon! We are proud of what you have done and we are looking forward to seeing you working here with us! 🎓👏

Our team traded dress clothes for disco and spent the evening solving a murder mystery at our 70s-themed Staff Appreciation Party! 🕺✨

We hosted a 70s disco-themed murder mystery Staff Appreciation Party for our team and employees from our sister locations. It was an evening filled with laughter, teamwork, great costumes, and unforgettable memories.

Thank you to every employee for your dedication, compassion, and the care you provide to the families we serve each day. We appreciate all that you do!

Our Location Manager, Lindsey Hazelhurst, was honored to join the Burke County Chamber's Surprise Patrol as they visited local businesses throughout the community to show appreciation for their Chamber membership.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow businesses, celebrate the people who help make Burke County such a special place, and support the Chamber's efforts to strengthen our local community.

If you or someone you know is navigating the loss of a loved one, we encourage you to join our friends at AMOREM for their upcoming Good Grief Meals. These informal gatherings offer a welcoming space for conversation, fellowship, and support over a meal. There is no cost to attend the gathering itself, the meal is a Dutch treat.

AMOREM will host the next monthly Good Grief Meal at three locations in August. The informal time of food and fellowship is open to anyone who is experiencing grief and loss. The meal is a Dutch treat.
