🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙
Today is a day many of us spend celebrating with family, friends, cookouts, and fireworks. We hope your holiday is filled with moments of joy, connection, and memories that make you smile.
At the same time, we want to acknowledge that holidays like today can feel different for everyone.
For some, fireworks, loud crowds, flashing lights, or even the expectations that come with celebrations can bring feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, grief, or trigger memories related to trauma or PTSD. If that’s your experience today, you’re not alone—and there’s nothing wrong with choosing to care for yourself.
If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed:
✨ Pause and take a few slow, deep breaths.
✨ Use grounding techniques, like noticing five things you can see, four you can touch, three you can hear, two you can smell, and one you can taste.
✨ Step away from the noise if you need a quiet moment.
✨ Give yourself permission to leave early, say no, or celebrate differently.
✨ Reach out to someone you trust if you need support.
Remember: You don’t have to celebrate the way everyone else does. Protecting your peace is always something worth celebrating.
Wishing you a safe, meaningful, and peaceful Fourth of July. ❤️💙
