Subcutaneous dry needling is a unique technique that targets the fascial tissues just beneath the skin.

The goal may include helping address adhesions, supporting the body’s natural healing response, and improving how tissues—including nerves—move and glide.

Every technique has a purpose, and the right approach depends on the individual’s movement assessment and treatment goals.

Watch as Dr. Joe explains the “why” behind this technique while demonstrating it in real time.

Thank you to our patient for allowing us to share a portion of their treatment to help educate others.

Your sweet spot is your position of greatest resilience.

It is essentially your individual neutral spine—and it can change after an injury, through the natural aging process, or both.

Learning how to find your sweet spot is one of the first steps Dr. Joe teaches, because it helps you move in a way that minimizes unnecessary stress on your spine.

Small adjustments. Big difference.

A special thank you to our patient for generously allowing us to share a portion of his assessment to help educate others. We truly appreciate your willingness to help others learn.

Most people think an evaluation is just answering questions and having someone watch you move.

It’s not.

This is a small glimpse into one part of our 3½-hour McGill Method Assessment.

Every movement, every position, every symptom response gives us valuable information. Here, Dr. Joe is using targeted palpation and movement testing to determine which tissues and movement patterns are contributing to this patient’s pain. Then we immediately test strategies—like proper bracing—to see if symptoms change in real time.

That’s because our evaluation isn’t just an assessment.

It’s assessment, treatment, and coaching from the very beginning.

Over the course of your visit, you’ll learn how your spine responds to different positions and movements, which activities are helping or hurting your recovery, and the specific techniques you need to start moving toward lasting relief. Before you leave, you’ll have already begun implementing your personalized plan.

Then, after your visit, Dr. Joe prepares a detailed report outlining your findings, treatment plan, and individualized recommendations so you know exactly what to work on moving forward.

No two patients are the same. That’s why no two plans are the same.

A huge thank you to our patient for allowing us to share portions of his evaluation so others can better understand what the McGill assessment process actually looks like. We appreciate your willingness to help educate and encourage others who may be searching for answers to their own back pain.

Every exercise has a purpose—but only if it’s performed the way it was intended.

The right cues help you find the right muscles, improve movement quality, and reinforce better mechanics. That’s why corrective exercise isn’t just about handing someone a list of exercises—it’s about coaching each movement so your body learns to move more efficiently.

Sometimes one simple cue is the difference between just going through the motions and making real progress.

💪 Move with intention. Every rep is an opportunity to move better.

It’s always an honor when another healthcare professional chooses Dr. Joe for their own care.

When physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, trainers, and other healthcare professionals trust Dr. Joe with their own health, it speaks to the confidence they have in his individualized approach to care.

Every patient deserves an individualized assessment—not a one-size-fits-all treatment plan. That’s why people travel from across the country and around the world to be evaluated at CAMISA.

We’re grateful for the trust placed in our team and remain committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-informed care for every patient who walks through our doors.

Thank you, Dr. Stephen Roman, for your kind words and continued confidence in our practice.

The right assessment guides the treatment.

Dry needling isn’t about inserting a needle into any tight muscle. It’s about identifying the tissues that are actually contributing to a patient’s symptoms and treating them with purpose.

Watch the reassessment immediately afterward. The difference isn’t just the needle—it’s knowing exactly what to treat.

The right treatment starts with the right assessment.

Two people can have the exact same diagnosis—and require completely different treatment plans.

That’s why we don’t build treatment around an ICD-10 code. We build it around a comprehensive physical assessment that identifies what’s driving your symptoms.

An accurate, individualized assessment is the foundation of effective care.

Because treating a diagnosis isn’t enough. We treat the person.

The difference isn’t just the machine—it’s using the right frequencies. ⚡️

Watch the patient’s reaction when they’re turned off. 👀

That’s why Frequency-Specific Microcurrent starts with clinical reasoning and is paired with skilled manual therapy. 🧠👋🏼

🛡️Want a bulletproof back?

Don’t just move. Move well.

The difference between exercise and rehabilitation is often the coaching.

Watch the details. That’s where resilience is built.
