Our wonderful employees are always giving of themselves to help advance the mission of Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers beyond the walls of our hospital and clinics. This group recently helped organize, sort and distribute food during the Morris Hospital YMCA and Northern Illinois Food Bank’s summer family market that provided free groceries for households with kids and teens. Helping address food insecurity within our community was indeed a rewarding and fulfilling experience for our team members and a powerful reminder that a few hours of service can make a big difference in someone’s life.

Pelvic pain can affect everyday movement including sleep, exercise, bathroom habits, and intimate relationships. It may come on suddenly and severely, or it can persist or come and go for months. In our latest blog, Morris Hospital Physical Therapist Juli Bell shares common symptoms associated with pelvic pain and explains how the Pelvic Health Therapy program at Morris Hospital can help people improve strength, function, and quality of life. Pelvic pain can affect daily movement, sleep, exercise, bathroom habits, and intimate relationships. It may be sudden and severe or come and go for months. When pelvic discomfort lasts longer than three months and does not improve with treatment, specialized physical therapy might be the solution.

Please join us in welcoming Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Bailey Quaka to our Urgent Care team! Bailey has been part of the Morris Hospital team for the past nine years as a registered nurse. After returning to school and earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree, she is now seeing patients for mild to moderate illnesses and injuries at our Urgent Care locations in Morris and Diamond.

Our Urgent Care locations in Channahon, Diamond and Morris are open 7 days a week, with hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bailey Quaka is an advanced practice registered nurse providing immediate care services at the Immediate Care locations in Morris and Diamond-Coal City.

Representatives from our Rehabilitation Services and Patient Transportation/Lifeline departments thoroughly enjoyed participating in today’s Senior Health Fair hosted by State Senators Sue Rezin and Chris Balkema, and State Representatives Jed Davis and Jason Bunting. We always love meeting and talking with seniors about important health topics and services provided by Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers. Our main focus today was educating seniors on fall safety while conducting a mobility assessment right at our table! What a wonderful opportunity to connect with so many seniors!

Just a reminder that Urgent Care is an EXCELLENT option when you have a minor injury or illness and want to be seen today. We’re talking about allergies, asthma flare-ups, infections (eye, sinus, upper respiratory, urinary tract, bladder), cough, sore throat, flu, fever, vomiting and diarrhea, mild sprains and strains, minor fractures, back pain, headache, earache, rashes, bites and stings, burns, wounds, and even foreign object removal, are all appropriate conditions for the Urgent Care setting. All 3 of our Urgent Care locations have new, extended hours. You can find us in Morris just north of Interstate 80 off Gore Road, in Channahon at our Ridge Road Campus, and in Diamond at Division Street & McGinty.

Breaking News! We are incredibly excited to announce that we are building a 22,900 square foot, two-story medical office building in Ottawa on the east side of Columbus Street, just north of Norris Drive. Construction is expected to begin by late fall 2026, with a target completion by early spring 2028. Services will include laboratory, diagnostic imaging, cardiac diagnostics, multi-specialty physician offices with up to 30 patient exam rooms, and the potential to add additional services. Our offerings in Ottawa have grown over the past 14 years and today include 21 physicians and advanced practice professionals at 3 locations. Stay tuned as we share construction updates and exciting milestones along the way!

Sports physicals are just $50, and you don’t need an appointment! Stop in Mon-Fri between 8 a.m.-8 p.m., or Sat/Sun between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Make sure your student is ready to hit the ground running by getting their sports physical taken care of today!

Our Immediate Care location on Gore Road in Morris is open seven days a week, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For added convenience, you can call ahead to save your spot before you arrive!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Patients who came to our Ottawa Campus today were greeted with a purple and white balloon arch above the reception desk in celebration of our 10 year anniversary at 1306 Gemini Circle, Suite 1. This is the primary care office for Family Medicine physicians Dr. Hassnain Syed and Dr. Jeffrey Tanzi, Pediatrician Dr. Melissa Hill, and Family Nurse Practitioners Ashley Blough and Angela Todd. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since we saw our first patient in this office back on July 25, 2016! Thank you to the providers and staff at our Ottawa Campus, and to our patients and the community, for an AMAZING 10 years!
