🎉⚾ Happy 106th Birthday, Mr. Mungerson! ⚾🎉

Today, our sister community, The Pointe at Crete, celebrated an incredible milestone for a very special resident! Mr. Mungerson turned 106 years young!

A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, Mr. Mungerson enjoys spending his days with a good book and listening to baseball games. What a wonderful way to celebrate a life filled with stories, memories, and love for the game! 📚❤️💙

The team at The Pointe at Crete did an amazing job making sure he felt extra special and honored on his big day.

🌟 Golden Girls (and Guys!) Take on Starved Rock! 🌟
Our wonderful residents kicked off Senior Citizens Day a little early this year — and what a way to celebrate! 🎉👵👴

The gang enjoyed a delicious lunch at the beautiful Starved Rock Lodge 🍽️🌲, followed by a fun-filled trolley tour through the stunning scenery of Starved Rock State Park 🚃🍂✨

From good food to great company and gorgeous views, it was the perfect day to honor our amazing seniors! 💛

Here's to many more adventures ahead! 🥳👏

Help us make a difference for local students as they head back to school!
Starting today through August 7th, we are collecting school supplies to support children in our community. Drop off your donations in the school bus collection bin located at the Front Desk.

☀️🌴 First day of summer = LUA MODE ACTIVATED 🌺🍍
Our amazing residents kicked off the season island-style today, and let me tell you… the vibes were IMMACULATE 😎🌞
From flower leis to tropical tunes, we turned an ordinary day into a full-on beach party (minus the sand… thankfully 😂).

There was dancing 💃, laughter 😂, delicious treats 🍉🍹, and enough sunshine energy to power us through the whole summer ☀️💛

Moments like these remind us it’s not just about care—it’s about community, joy, and making memories together 🌈✨

Summer, we are READY for you!!! 🌊🏝️

We wrapped up Supportive Living Week in true 1950s style—and let’s just say… we may still be recovering from all the fun. Because around here, every moment matters. ✨

The day started off strong with some 1950s chair dancing (yes, those moves were smoother than a jukebox hit), followed by a hula hoop contest where we quickly discovered some hidden talents—and a few sore hips. 💃🌀

Things really revved up with our drag races, car hop contest, and a very competitive paper straw blowing contest. Who knew blowing through a straw could get so intense? 🚗😂

Lunch took us straight to the golden age with McDonald’s cheeseburgers, French fries, and stuffed celery, topped off with pineapple upside-down cake, root beer floats, and ice cream sundaes. 🍔🍟🍦

We ended the day with a sock hop and live entertainment, and the dance floor was full of twists, turns, and a whole lot of laughter. 🎶🕺

What a week it has been. Thank you to our amazing residents, families, friends, and staff for making it so special. You made memories we won’t soon forget. ❤️

We’re on Day 4 of Supportive Living Week and living our best “Every Moment Matters” life—1980s style 🎉🕺💃

We kicked off the morning getting physical with some Jane Fonda sit-tercise 💪🩷 (leg warmers optional, but highly encouraged 🧦). From there, our creativity shined during 80s Paint & Sip 🎨🍷, followed by some totally tubular rounds of 80s Bingo 🎶🔢

Lunch was a throwback feast featuring chicken Kiev 🍗, garlic mashed potatoes 🥔, green beans 🥗, and a dessert that stole the show—Robert Redford pie 🍰✨ (yes, it’s as good as it sounds 😋)

Between the laughs 😂, the music 🎶, and a few questionable dance moves 🕺, today proved that the 80s never really left us—they just got more comfortable seating 🪑💕

Stay tuned… who knows what decade we’ll travel to next ⏳🎉
