Arcadia Care at Morris had a wonderful time hosting a painting activity at Elliott Manor Senior Retirement Community! 🖌️🎨 It was a great opportunity to spend time together, get creative, and enjoy some fun with our friends in the community.
We love getting out and building connections with local seniors while creating special memories along the way. Thank you to Elliott Manor for having us—we enjoyed every minute! 💙

🕺🎶 Celebrating Assisted Living Week! 🎶💜

Arcadia Care Morris had a wonderful time celebrating Assisted Living Week with our friends at Park Pointe during their Decades Party!

Our team joined in the fun and brought snacks to share with the residents and staff. It was a great opportunity to celebrate, connect, and show our appreciation for the incredible assisted living community and the dedicated individuals who care for seniors every day.

We’re grateful for our community partnerships and always enjoy spending time with the residents and teams we have the privilege of working alongside. 💜

It is with deepest respect and a profound sense of duty that The Chicagoland Nurse Honor Guard recognizes a true titan of the nursing profession: Kathleen McLean.
Kathleen dedicated 55 years of her life to nursing, leaving an foundational mark on local healthcare. Most notably, she was the visionary nurse who opened the very first Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, Illinois.
For our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Founder, Charleen "Char" Gallion, this tribute is deeply personal. Years ago, when Char was a new ICU nurse, Kathleen was her mentor. Kathleen didn't just teach the technical skills of critical care—she modeled the fierce advocacy, deep compassion, and unwavering strength that defines an exceptional nurse.
It is because of mentors like Kathleen that the Nurse Honor Guard exists today—to ensure that a lifetime of selflessness and service is never forgotten.
Kathleen, your shift is over. Your legacy lives on in the unit you built, the patients you saved, and the countless nurses you inspired. We have the watch from here. 🕊️❤️
