We're Preparing for Our Annual Cemetery Cleanup

At Hamblen Memory Gardens & Mausoleums, we are committed to maintaining a beautiful, peaceful, and dignified resting place for the families we serve.

Beginning the week of August 3, we respectfully ask that all items other than flowers placed in the permanent vases attached to memorial markers be removed from grave spaces.

This includes:
• Loose decorations
• Flags
• Shepherd hooks
• Solar lights
• Statues
• Wind chimes
• Any other freestanding or temporary items

After the cleanup begins, the only items permitted on grave spaces will be flowers displayed in the permanent vases attached to the memorial markers.

We understand these decorations are placed with love and remembrance, and we sincerely appreciate your cooperation as we work to preserve the beauty, safety, and appearance of the cemetery for all who visit.

This weekend, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1073, along with scouting troops from across the Lakeway area, joined us in placing flags on markers throughout our Veterans Field of Honor. We are grateful for these volunteers who took time to help remember and honor our fallen heroes this Memorial Day.

The weekend was capped off with our annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony featuring remarks from Hamblen County Mayor Chris Cutshaw, a wreath laying at our Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and special bagpipe music provided by Kelly Shipe.

Thank you to everyone who continues to take time to remember the men and women who gave so much for our country. May God continue to bless our veterans and the United States of America.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
