Half the battle is knowing where to turn for help and who to ask. Without any warning my little girl approached her uncle (a neurosurgeon) this afternoon and asked him to help her beloved doll. Apparently, her Abby doll had suffered a skull fracture unbeknownst to anyone in her immediate family and she waited for an audience with the exact right person to fix it. My brother-in-law did not disappoint and rose to the occasion with an incredible diagnostic exam and full repair (with pink thread- of course!) Thank you Dr. David Weintraub for the incredible care off hours.

14 months ago, we were on lockdown and all elective procedures were on hold in NJ for COVID-19. This patient had an aggressive skin tumor that simply couldn’t wait until the world re-opened as it was rapidly enlarging. She was terrified of the hospital and did not want to go to the OR. We bought N95 masks out of the back of a pharmacy at $10/ piece and myself and a colleague performed her reconstruction after MOH’s in the thick of lockdown in the office. All I can say now is what a difference a year makes. This patient and I are bonded for life over the extreme circumstances that came together to ensure her care and she looks amazing a little over a year later. Swipe to see the before and after.

3 months after and upper and lower lid blepharoplasty and looking great. His wife summed it up when she simply exclaimed, “Wow!”. The patient looks better but he also reports improved vision and that he no longer feels that his eyes are heavy.

So excited to add the “zoom neck lift” to my practice. This before and after is 2 hours apart! The patient had Facetite, lipo sculpting and Ellevate suture placed. It is a non-invasive neck rejuvenation procedure with almost no downtime done in the office.

It’s never a good sign when the ED number shows up on your phone at nearly midnight. I am fortunate in that I don’t get called in frequently but when I do, someone is usually really hurt. This young man was so incredibly fortunate that he turned his head slightly when pulling on a workout resistance band that was bolted to the wall. This small turn of his head meant that while he had an avulsed eyelid, damaged tear duct system and an orbital fracture, he did not rupture his globe and lose an eye. Swipe to see the before and this is one week after repair. He should be ready for baseball season in a few weeks! And I didn’t even hold it against him that he plays for a rival high school.
