Happy Spiritual Sunday! Today is my birthday today! Today is a day I want to express extra gratitude! Gratitude to all those who reached out to me on my birthday to make me feel special and loved. Gratitude to the doctors and nurses as well as other team members at the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute who saved met life and roof care of me when a month ago I had 3 stents placed for several blockages including 99 percent of the LAD aka the widow maker. I can’t thank my cardiologists enough Dr Philippe Genereux and Dr. Giovanni Campanile ! I received spectacular care from them. My Aunt also had a cardiac arrest at Gagnon a few days before my procedure! My Aunt, myself and the family are incredibly grateful to the nurses, techs and doctors who saved her life. Amazing team of nurses who deserve recognition for their outstanding selflessness care! My Aunt wants to express special gratitude to the nurses Frankie, Dhru, Cindy, Savana and Jesus as well as to Dr Germain who I believe was the Hospitalist. She is also extremely appreciative of the outstanding care firm her cardiologists Dr. John Cosmi, Dr Linda Gillam and others.

Street Tales Podcast! Extremely appreciative of podcast hosts and law enforcement professionals Tyler Martin and Adam Macaluso for inviting me. Adam has also served in the capacity of being one of our country’s outstanding Marines! I had the honor and privilege of taking care of Adams daughter Lucy in her battle with Ewing sarcoma. Unfortunately Lucy lost her battle. I always emphasize that there is no greater compliment in the world than for a parent to pick me and my team to perform surgery on their child and help save their child’s life and save their baby’s leg or arm. When one of the kids I was treating returns to God I likewise feel the grief and feel as though I lost a tiny piece of my heart.

Gratitude! I can’t express the extreme fulfillment I get as an orthopedic oncologist is to be able to help cure my patients, save their arms and legs and watch them grow up and be successful. They certainly have met some of the greatest challenges in life. Super appreciative that Matthew who is a 7 year survivor of Ewing sarcoma invited me to his college graduation from NJIT. He’s accomplished many great things since his initial diagnosis. One thing I remember was how he always was eager to get back to work at CVS and get through school despite being beaten down by chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. Nothing will get him down now! So proud of him and eager to see him accomplish more great things in future!
