Most birth preparation focuses on what we can see:

The thoughts.
The worries.
The questions.

But beneath the surface lies something much deeper.

Our beliefs about birth.

The stories we’ve heard.

Past experiences.

Fears and expectations we may not even realize we’re carrying.

In HypnoBirthing, we explore what’s below the surface.

Not to dwell on fear, but to bring awareness to it.

Because when fear is brought into the light, it loses its power.

Through relaxation, guided imagery, and self-hypnosis, we can begin to replace fear with trust, confidence, and calm.

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis.

It’s simply a way of accessing the deeper part of ourselves so we can create lasting change from the inside out.

This is where HypnoBirthing begins. 💜

What stories or beliefs about birth have you discovered beneath your own surface?

Sometimes labor begins quietly… the body knows before the mind catches up.

Last week, Kristina called me wondering if labor might be beginning. What followed was a beautiful reminder that birth often unfolds in its own timing, and that a woman’s intuition matters deeply.

After a long night of uncertainty, rest, and waves beginning to build, labor gently revealed itself. By morning, her body was opening beautifully and her confidence continued to rise.

When I arrived, the room softened.

We dimmed the lights, played affirmations, breathed through each surge, moved with her body, and allowed labor to unfold without force.

She rested in the pauses. She danced through the waves. She trusted herself more deeply with each passing hour.

And then—through strength, surrender, and steady support—she welcomed her baby in a mindful, natural birth.

Sweet William arrived earthside at 9 lbs 7 oz 🤍

Birth asks us to trust what cannot always be seen yet.
The body often knows first.

So much love for this family and the honor of supporting them again.

Headed in for an appointment, and everything shifted quickly.

Her blood pressure was a bit elevated, and from there she was sent to the hospital—where they shared she would be meeting her baby that day 🤍

From 1 cm at her appointment to 3 cm on arrival, her body had already begun.
Once Pitocin was started, her surges picked up and she asked me to come in and support them.

We settled into the space together.
Lights softened.
Music playing.
Essential oils diffusing.
A projector casting calm across the room.

She stayed grounded.
Breathing through each wave, saying over and over how manageable it felt.

We moved gently—
resting, using the peanut ball, guided relaxations, quiet moments between surges.
Her body continuing to open, naturally and steadily.

As things intensified, her body took over.
The shaking. The deeper focus. The shift into transition.

And then… that moment.
The undeniable urge.

We lifted her gown and saw her baby already right there—so close.
With just a couple more waves, he made his way earthside.

Born under the full moon 🌕

6 lbs 5 oz of pure strength and love.

The room filled with emotion as they met him—
his sweet cries, their joy, and stepping into this new role with so much pride.

These are the moments that remind me just how powerful birth can be… even when it doesn’t go as originally planned.

So honored to be part of this one 🤍

Take a breath with me…

Inhale slowly through your nose
Exhale and soften your body

Again…

This is more than just a moment of calm—this is a tool.

Inside our HypnoBirthing classes, we guide you through breathing techniques and affirmations like this so you can:

• Stay grounded during surges
• Release fear and tension
• Feel more in control of your birth experience

Your body already knows how to birth—this is about learning how to support it.

If you’re preparing for your baby and want to feel calm, confident, and connected going into birth, our next HypnoBirthing series is open for registration.

This week is World Doula Week 🤍

And while the stats matter… what matters most to me is how my clients feel.

Supported.
Heard.
Safe.
Confident in their choices.

Birth isn’t just about outcomes—it’s about the experience of how you are cared for while bringing your baby into the world.

I’m so grateful to be welcomed into these spaces and to walk alongside families during one of the most powerful moments of their lives.

If you’re preparing for your birth and looking for support, I’d love to connect 🤍

Full Testimonial: 🤍

Amanda helped me trust my body and I cannot thank her enough for her support that led me to have an extremely empowered birth experience.

Amanda was recommended to me through a friend who’s friend had a great experience with her. I was not sure if I wanted a doula, because I had hired a different doula for my previous birthing experience and felt that I had been let down. I am SO glad I took the advice of my friend because Amanda was incredible.

When Amanda came to the hospital she shifted the whole energy. She could sense when anxiety was creeping into my head and she grounded me every time. Amanda made sure I felt empowered - even in a strict hospital setting that would not allow me to use wireless monitoring. She provided multiple options for movement, supported my decisions, and guided me through the final pushing.

I am so grateful for her presence and support. I believe she is a big part of the reason I had the birthing (and great recovery) experience that I have always wanted. I highly recommend using Mindful Birth and can’t thank Amanda enough for the positive experience.

Breastfeeding is natural… but that doesn’t always mean it feels intuitive at first.

So many mothers are surprised by how much learning happens in those first hours and days after baby arrives.

The good news is that a little preparation during pregnancy can make a huge difference in how confident and supported you feel when the time comes.

In our Mindful Breastfeeding class, we walk through what to expect in the early days, how babies instinctively find the breast, positioning that supports a deep latch, and how to create a calm feeding environment for both you and your baby.

If you’re planning to breastfeed and want to feel more prepared before your baby arrives, we would love to support you.

Join us for our upcoming class on March 26th.
