If you’ve been curious about HypnoBirthing… this is your sign to learn a little more. 🤍

Birth preparation isn’t about trying to control exactly how your birth unfolds.

It’s about understanding your body, learning how fear and tension can impact labor, practicing tools that help you stay calm and grounded, and helping you and your partner walk into birth feeling informed, connected and prepared.

Our next 5-week virtual HypnoBirthing® series begins September 15th ✨

Over our five weeks together, we’ll talk about the physiology of birth, relaxation and self-hypnosis, breathing techniques, releasing fear, partner support, navigating your options and so much more.

And because it’s completely virtual, you can join us from the comfort of home. 🫶🏼

📅 September 15, 22 & 29 + October 6 & 13

Monday reminder. 🤍

There can be so much pressure to know what’s next. To have the plan, the answer, the timeline, the certainty.

But sometimes the work is simply staying with what’s right in front of us.

One moment.
One breath.
One step at a time.

In pregnancy, in birth, in motherhood—and honestly, in life—we don’t always get to know what comes next.

We can only meet the moment we’re in.

Here. Now. Breathe. 🤍

Birth support was never meant to replace your partner. 🤍

One of the most meaningful parts of our role as doulas is helping partners feel confident in theirs.

Sometimes that means offering reassurance when things feel uncertain.
Sometimes it’s suggesting a position, a counter-pressure technique, or the right words at the right moment.
Sometimes it’s simply reminding them, *you’re doing exactly what they need.*

Because when a partner feels confident, included, and supported, they’re able to stop wondering what they *should* be doing—and simply be present with the person they love.

Angelica’s words about Lou meant so much to us because this is exactly what we hope to create in the birth space:

A supported birthing person.
An empowered partner.
And a team working together.

Your doula doesn’t take your partner’s place.

We help them step more confidently into it. 🤍

Labor can feel big.

Your breath gives you something small to come back to.

When a surge begins, breathe in gently—and allow your exhale to become slow and long.

As you breathe out, notice what happens in your body.

Can your shoulders drop?
Can your jaw soften?
Can your hands release?

You don’t need to force relaxation.

**Breathe. Exhale. Soften.**

And then meet the next moment when it comes. 🤍

These tools aren’t only for labor day. Practice them during pregnancy so they already feel familiar when you need them.

Save this one and try it today.

Birth preparation isn’t about creating a perfect plan.

Because birth can change.

The room you imagined may not be available.
The tool you thought you’d use may not work.
The timeline may surprise you.
And the choices you make along the way may change, too.

Preparation is about having something to come back to when they do.

Your breath.
Your support.
Your choices.
Yourself.

This birth didn’t go exactly according to plan.

But watching this first-time mother continue to adapt, soften, and trust herself through every unexpected turn was something I’ll never forget. 🤍

Sometimes the victory isn’t getting the birth you planned.

It’s discovering how capable you are of meeting the birth that’s unfolding.

Save this for the days when you’re trying to plan every detail of your birth. You don’t have to know exactly how it will unfold to prepare for it.

What does a birth doula actually do?

The short answer: support changes as birth changes.

Sometimes I’m helping you prepare weeks before labor begins.

Sometimes I’m suggesting a position at 2 AM, applying counterpressure through another surge, helping you understand your options, or reminding you to eat, drink and breathe.

And sometimes?

I’m simply beside you—reminding you that you’re safe, supported, and capable of doing the next thing.

Doula support isn’t about taking over your birth.

It’s about helping you feel informed, supported and connected to yourself throughout it. 🤍

Two first-time moms.

Two completely different labors.

Both prepared with HypnoBirthing. 🤍

Because birth preparation isn’t about predicting exactly how your birth will unfold.

It’s about understanding your body, knowing your options, preparing your partner, practicing your tools—and having something to come back to when birth takes its own path.

Jade needed surrender.

Karissa needed to trust herself through a birth that moved incredibly fast.

Different births. Same foundation.

HypnoBirthing isn’t about having one specific kind of birth.

It’s about how you meet yours. 🤍

Our next Mindful Birth® HypnoBirthing Series is enrolling now.

Four hours from her first surge to meeting her baby girl. 🤍

Karissa’s birth moved FAST—but her preparation was already there.

The breathing.
The affirmations.
The partner support.
The understanding of what her body was doing.
The confidence to trust herself as things changed.

Because HypnoBirthing isn’t about creating one specific kind of birth.

It’s about having the tools to meet YOUR birth however it unfolds.

And in Karissa’s words:

“I felt prepared, supported, and able to trust my body.”

Welcome to the world, Parker Lily. 🤍

Headed in for an appointment, and everything shifted quickly.

Her blood pressure was a bit elevated, and from there she was sent to the hospital—where they shared she would be meeting her baby that day 🤍

From 1 cm at her appointment to 3 cm on arrival, her body had already begun.
Once Pitocin was started, her surges picked up and she asked me to come in and support them.

We settled into the space together.
Lights softened.
Music playing.
Essential oils diffusing.
A projector casting calm across the room.

She stayed grounded.
Breathing through each wave, saying over and over how manageable it felt.

We moved gently—
resting, using the peanut ball, guided relaxations, quiet moments between surges.
Her body continuing to open, naturally and steadily.

As things intensified, her body took over.
The shaking. The deeper focus. The shift into transition.

And then… that moment.
The undeniable urge.

We lifted her gown and saw her baby already right there—so close.
With just a couple more waves, he made his way earthside.

Born under the full moon 🌕

6 lbs 5 oz of pure strength and love.

The room filled with emotion as they met him—
his sweet cries, their joy, and stepping into this new role with so much pride.

These are the moments that remind me just how powerful birth can be… even when it doesn’t go as originally planned.

So honored to be part of this one 🤍
