Five years ago, Guide to Wellness was founded with a simple goal: to make quality mental health care more accessible, compassionate, and supportive for the communities we serve.

Over the past five years, we have had the privilege of building meaningful relationships with clients, families, providers, referral partners, and community organizations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Colorado. We are grateful for every person who has trusted us to be part of their journey.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are also excited to begin a new chapter.

As of June 1, enrollment officially opened for our new Adult Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults 18+ in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This fully virtual evening program was designed to provide structured recovery support while allowing participants to continue working, attending school, caring for family, and managing daily responsibilities.

Thank you for being part of our first five years. We are honored to continue growing, expanding services, and supporting our communities for years to come.

Mental health awareness is not just about conversations during difficult moments. It is also about making space for rest, support, connection, boundaries, community, and care in everyday life.

Healing rarely looks perfect or linear.

Sometimes it looks like asking for help. Sometimes it looks like slowing down. Sometimes it looks like simply making it through the day.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, may we continue creating spaces where people feel safe being honest about what they’re carrying — and reminded that they do not have to carry it alone.

Wear green today as a reminder that mental health matters every day, for everyone.

Behind so many “I’m fine” responses are overstimulated nervous systems, unfinished to-do lists, mental load, identity changes, guilt, pressure, and exhaustion that often goes unseen.

Maternal mental health deserves more than one conversation a year.

💜To the mothers carrying invisible labor.
💛To the parents trying to regulate while raising tiny humans.
💙To the caregivers who love deeply but still feel overwhelmed sometimes.

You are not alone in that experience.

There is no perfect way to move through motherhood, and needing rest, support, space, or help does not take away from the care you give others.

This Maternal Mental Health Week, may we speak more openly about the parts of motherhood people are often expected to quietly survive.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Sometimes care looks a lot like everyday life.

Time with pets.

Creating something with your hands.

Getting outside—picnics, gardening, fresh air.

Moving your body.

Moments of stillness.

Nourishing yourself with foods that feel good.

Walking through a farmers market, picking up fresh berries, slowing down.

These aren’t just hobbies—they’re ways we come back to being regulated, grounded, and present, and ways we build community in the process.

It doesn’t have to be complicated.

It just has to be yours.

There’s a lot of messaging this time of year about fresh starts, better moods, and “getting back to yourself.”

But for a lot of people, it doesn’t feel like that.

You can have sunshine outside
and still feel heavy inside.

You can notice the longer days
and still feel tired.

Nothing is wrong with you if this season doesn’t feel like a reset.

You’re allowed to take your time—no matter what the calendar says.

Not all regulation looks like deep breathing and stillness.

Sometimes it looks like pausing.
Sometimes it looks like walking away.
Sometimes it looks like doing less on purpose.

It can be quiet.
It can be invisible.
It can feel small.

But those small moments where you choose differently?

That’s regulation.

Real talk—insurance can be confusing.

We’re in-network with many providers, including Aetna, ATAP, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Independence BCBS / Amerihealth, Highmark BCBS, LEHB, Medicare Part B, United Healthcare / Optum, and VA Community Care.

That said, coverage can vary more than most people expect—even within the same insurance company.

For the most accurate details on your copay, deductible, and coinsurance, we recommend calling the number on the back of your card.

You don’t have to figure it out alone—we’re here to help.

Today is often called World Autism Awareness Day, but many in the community advocate for something deeper—acceptance.

Acceptance means moving beyond awareness and toward understanding, respect, and meaningful inclusion. It means listening to autistic individuals, honoring different ways of communicating, and creating spaces where people feel safe to be themselves.

Support doesn’t come from changing someone.

It comes from meeting them where they are.
