Eva Sevick, PhD

Eva Sevick, is a professor and the Nancy and Rich Kinder Distinguished Chair of Cardiovascular Disease Research at the University of Texas Health Science Center's Institute of Molecular Medicine, where she currently directs the Center for Molecular Imaging. She has pioneered the development of near-infrared fluorescence optical imaging and tomography for molecular imaging and is researching lymphatic function. Her team is active in preclinical, small animal imaging with nuclear and optical techniques and is pioneering diagnostic imaging for nodal staging in cancer. Eva has been a presenter for Lymphedema Seminars at most of our in-person seminars and we are so pleased that she will be joining us again to update us on her latest research on the development of lymphatics in the infant brain.
Dr. Sevick will be presenting on OCTOBER 3rd at our last virtual Networking & Educational Workshop for Lymphedema Therapists. Her topic is: "Update on Research of Developing Lymphatics in the Brain." Speaker Spotlight:

As most lymphedema therapists know, Guenter is the Founder of Klose Training & Consulting. He received his initial Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) training in 1984 at the Foeldi Clinic in Germany, where he continued working as an instructor.

Since 1990, when he came to the US, Guenter has been instrumental in establishing the field of lymphedema therapy and training. He assisted in opening numerous lymphedema treatment centers on the East Coast, and in 2003, Guenter established Klose Training. Guenter has facilitated the training of hundreds of lymphedema therapists from across the country and abroad.

Guenter will be presenting on OCTOBER 3 at our last virtual Networking & Educational Workshop for Lymphedema Therapists. His topic is one that came up during his talk in 2025 when therapist attendees were noticing some new techniques that were different from what they had been taught years ago, hence:"The Evolution of Lymphedema Education Over the Last four Decades". And who could be any more qualified than Guenter to make this presentation!!! You will learn what has changed and what you might not know has changed, so don't miss it!!!
